I asked that myself too and my answer is... because of the cover! damn lame me! I missed a great BL manga. So glad I did read it (thanks sayonara, itoshi, I looked for mangas by the same mangaka and ended up with this pearl I avoided reading in the past lol)

I dunno what the author had mind when he added the stupid gun thing do people normally carry guns like that? Maybe he wanted to give the story a twisted feel but it went stupidly wrong overall i liked the manga it's a good one.

Like every chapter talked about dying or killing someone so it doesn't surprise me at all.
It's america, so carrying guns around is not that strange. I have a friend that walks around with a Ruger in her purse, lol. Though I think she's not supposed to actually carry it around... Welp.
And I wouldn't say it's random, the whole story was made just for that scene... or rather that scene was drawn first, the author later added the "background" chapters, if I got that right.
I, for one, thinks it is very obvious. Just from the title and the cover of the manga, the gun is somehow emphasized. In the last pages of the FIRST chapter, there is a part where uke said that he wanted to kill Alex and the gun was briefly showed in a panel so yeaaaaaaah it is not completely random like you said (〜￣△￣)〜

Tbh i thought i'd never like something with a shotacon tag guess i was wrong. But u know guys we can't let harada sensei's beautiful work as usual make us forget that this is all wrong . I don't consider that a happy ending but a really sad story of two broken people that just keep on breaking each other in a beautiful way. Oh yeah I'm twisted too and i'm sucker for twisted stories .
i agree with you, i found the story twisted and sick, but very intriguing, a lot of people don't like it probably because it has to do with a kid, but its not like the artist is glorifying pedophilia or something. i found the story one of the more weirdly interesting works from harada thats fucked up, but good, and actually means something.
Yeah exactly he was protraying pedophilia in its true colors . As an author it wouldn't be right to directly attack pedos so he just made it that everyone can see the ending the way he pleases. That's why that author is pretty hardcore.

I don't think i mixed them. Ye zi is the blue eyed right? And xiao hang is the one with green eyes whose a bit of an asshole.

But yea, one of the reason is because xiao hang is jealous af ahahah... can't blame him tho, this ye zi is very different from the ye zi he knew since childhood... (actually he really don't. I'm so very amused by the fact that i can't really tell what that seme's thinking all i have in mind is simple guesses and it feels more pleasent when they go all wrong i guess i'm a bit twisted too xD can't get enough of this because a predictable story is a boring one.
I think this is gonna be real good with a happy ending.
