they found a way to sympathize with Mi-ok's irrelevant (and frankly stupid) backstory as to why she's homophobic and why she's prying into Haebom's business, despite Mi-ok being a complete nobody in their lives.
I hope their goodwill doesn't bite them in the ass if/when the author introduces more homophobic townsfolk who have no business telling two consenting adults who they should or shouldn't love. I don't need to see adults with no backbone and willingness to fight for their love, please (￣∇￣")

this arc (or dare i say, even the entire sequel) would've been better written as side stories, with Doyeon's interference minimized (since he is not even important to the plot) and overall chapters reduced lol
