oh he's Definitely the infertile one. the real question is can vampires knock people up in this story. cause it seems like they are born not made in this particular story but in the usual vampire lore/canon they are beings that cant procreate at all. if he does get her pregnant she's gonna have a world of shit to deal with thats for sure.
I can only think of 3 franchises where vampires and humans can have kids(Underworld, Twilight, Blue Bloods:The book series). Maybe reproduction between humans and vampires in this story is possible but it just doesn't happen very often cus fertility compatibility between the two is very low. Kids or no kids I just want the two to end up together at the end.
i was thinking if we've even seen him come inside her yet. i thought maybe he did when they had sex in that random house in the forest but idr. and he came on her stomach when they had sex in the bathroom in 26-27 so who even if he can get her pregnant, its not gonna happen soon. (again assuming im remembering correctly lol)
For everyone weirded out by the proposal thing it was very common back then with the upper class crowd. Parents would decide who their kids would marry based off which proposal had the best potential (money, status, alliances, etc). The kids would be engaged from an early age but wouldn't marry until they were of marrying age according to that time period they lived in. Sometimes the kids wouldn't even meet each other for the first time until the day of the wedding, usually by then they both had come into adulthood. Unfortunately half the time the girl would be marrying a guy twice her age and/or not even someone she picked herself.
