Not looking for a debate here, just a theory: Chowon just wants someone to rein him in. It’s not about being an Omega, but it’s in his personality. He comes from a rich family, he is spoiled since he was a kid. He thinks he can get everything he wanted, and until Heesoo gave him a lesson, he was able to get away with everything he did. But it caught up to him and now he’s reaping what he sow. And having an actual psychological issue made the problem worse for him.
.
Lately he feels like the world is against him and worse, the meds are not working (definitely normal and understandable in this stage of recovery). But he is not voicing out his worries, instead he lashes out. And since he gives a threatening aura most of the time, no one dare confront him about it. Kyungsoo knows that he has to do something, and there is no choice but to confront and *force* Chowon to admit what is going on.
.
I’d like to think this is like therapy (just ignore the sex scene for now). In therapy, the therapist would sometimes get really frank with the patient, especially when the person is really stubborn. They had to be made aware, hurt feelings be damned, that what they are doing is not productive and will hurt them (and their loved ones) in the long run. And Kyungsoo knows this. See, Chowon eventually said exactly what’s going on in his mind. But notice that Kyungsoo never actually scolded Chowon, he even comforted him. Well, he did tease him a bit, but again he is the boyfriend and not a therapist, so we’ll cut him some slack.

Re: sex scene, I don’t think Chowon disliked it. Going back to the original point, he just wants someone to rein him in. Forceful plays (idk what would be the correct term, I can’t English) like this can be consensual and enjoyable. In the end, he calmed down. Voicing his thoughts to Kyungsoo (and getting good dick in the process lol) gave him the harmless outlet that he needed.

“Saving face” is totally a thing. Most likely they are thinking that the criminal must be apprehended no matter his reason for stabbing a guy. They took it as a personal offense that the MC let the guy go. While reading the chapters, all I can think of is “I hope he won’t end up in a hospital because of stress.” I can definitely relate to him, our working environment/culture is not as bad, but the emotional stress and labor is real that it gives me really intense headaches sometimes.

1. This is not a wholesome manhwa: it’s dark, gritty, and depressing. Taesung is a gang leader for chrissakes. So of course he won’t be lovey-dovey. He will not show weakness or that will be the end of him (he got stabbed before and for sure he had learned his lesson). If he was nice, he wouldn’t have survived until now. He knows how to show kindness and be cruel if needed. He is crafty and is willing to get his hands dirty to get what he wants. And yes, that includes getting Sooyoung’s love.
.
2. Yes, he is toxic (ugh, how I hated that word, along with “problematic”). But in this world, and irl, everything is not black and white. You cannot expect a man who chose violence from day 1 to act nice and sweet to the person he likes. Maybe he will, but it will take some time.
.
3. I think he himself is aware that what he is doing to Sooyuong is wrong. He basically used him as a pawn to his enemy, and for what it’s worth, it worked. It’s like hitting two birds with one stone. He was able to capture the enemy. It also brought Sooyoung’s defenses down, and allowed him to surrender to Taesung completely. When I say surrender, it’s not that he’s subject to Taesung’s whims, but rather, he wants Sooyoung to depend and lean on him. Possessive? Yes, definitely.

i love how criticizing some of the routes the story took wrt a character or plot (or lack of plot) and saying that u didnt buy it as organic and it took out some of the charm of an already darker character is the same saying "i want this webtoon to be full of FLUFF AND RAINBOWS AND TRU LUV" like yall need to get outta here with this bullshit. its fine if u stil like the webtoon, nothing wrong with taht but trying to dismiss people's opinions or criticisms as "you babies dont know what story ur reading" is nonsense and u should feel silly doing it. all the criticisms about taesung's turn in the latter chpts are valid, if u disagree thats cool but not try to patronize those of us who disagree with your opinion. (also it assumes that the rest of us read only fluffy toons and i can guarantee u thats not true at all so gain ur full of it)

Taesung knows that Sooyung will get hurt in the process, but he also knew that the guy is stubborn and will not go down without a fight. He will get hurt, but Taesung will not let him die.
.
Idk about grabbing the credit from Minhyuk, but everything unfolded according to his plan and that’s all that matters to him. Now it’s basically up to Sooyoung if he will accept Taesung’s advances.

Sheesh. I’m just pointing out my observations to this manhwa. Those readers who are criticizing Taesung’s actions are entitled to their opinion as I am. Don’t put those words into my mouth as it was not what I wanted to say. It may come across a bit different as English is not my native language but you totally missed my point.

Exactly! The characters are so interesting, and the gorgeous art is the cherry on top. And the fact the people can get heated in the comments, criticizing Taesung for his actions means that the author is really doing a great job with her characters. They’re pretty realistic if you ask me. And I do agree with you. We haven’t seen other aspects of Taesung’s (and Sooyoung’s) character yet, the author is just getting started. I’m excited to see how she will wrap this up
I kinda feel bad for Liam and the secretary lolol, taking care of these two. Hope they’ll find their own happiness as well. Well, if the author decides to pair up these two babysitters I won’t complain.. ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
