Unless it is a photorealistic image of a human being, no he doesn’t look like a child. We know what you’re implying. This is just an art style. If you don’t like cute/ feminine boys/bottoms just read something else, it’s pride month for gods sake

There's a difference between a feminine looking man and a feminine looking boy. I love feminine men, but I'm tired of the manga where the bottom looks like they're underage. There are multiple irl men who have very feminine features and still look like they're adults. And the whole "it's an art style" argument is an ignorant answer and invalid in debunking allegations of you know what. If you're actively searching for pictures and manga where the art style makes the characters look like they're girls and boys instead of women and men, you need to be honest with yourself. It doesn't matter whether you yourself are male or female either. A lot of us anime and manga fans have been subtly groomed to think from a young age that that stuff is okay because of manga and anime and "because it's an art style", but it all ties back to the fact that Japan in only recently (2023) bumped up their age of consent from 13 to 16 and now have made stricter laws for CP. That's why there's so much manga where the bottoms look like kids, because that's what they were depicting. We as consumers are responsible for what we consume and we have the power to make a change in the manga world by being selective of what we consume. With that said, I'm off to read something else. Happy pride month! ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

you do realise there are ppl irl who look younger than their age right? im shorter and look younger than most of my peers but that doesnt make me a 'child'. there is nothing wrong with this and no this bottom doesnt look like a "kid", petite men exist irl so whats wrong w fictional ones? just say this isnt ur pref and leave i dont see a reason to say bs.

^basically. Also I think it’s an insult to survivors to actually imply that a drawing (that is not a photorealistic depiction of an actual underage person) is equivalent to cp/abuse they’ve experienced. Support real survivors, drawings do not have the same rights as a human being. People on here throw around the word cp and pedo too lightly, we’re looking at drawings. People can absolutely not like cutesy/fem/twink or even just youthful characters, everyone has preferences. No one is gonna be arrested for thought crime, actual pedos are harming real underage people. That being said they also aren’t even help the manga world with anything lol this is an illegal translation website, and it’s bold to assume that you can impact a community that you can’t seemingly even communicate with

TBQH, I think you’re right overall… the underlying issue is that it isn’t purely innocent or besides the point when childlike imagery is used in sexual content. It’s indicative of a greater, more pervasive culture that sexualizes preteens - because it was LEGAL until very recently.
I actually do think it’s important to acknowledge that.
With that said… especially considering this is a free site with unofficial translations and uploads? It’s not entirely consumerism the same way that paid-for products are. And that’s its own whole ethical issue. But in terms of endorsing published material with purchases, that’s technically not what we’re doing here.
However, consumption of content in general can and inevitably will affect how we think and how we see the world. That’s true of everything we see and read and watch, every day… whether it’s real life or fiction. Everything we observe changes us.
So honestly I agree — it’s worth being cautious about what we consume, even if there are technical excuses to fall back on (it’s fictional, it’s an art style, it’s free, etc.).
But I guess I see it like substance use. Abstinence is an option, but if you’re aware of the risks and prepare around them, you can still use safely. In my mind, this is all largely a mental process - just recognition of how this could induce complacency, how this can be and most likely IS used by/for pdf files, and remembering always on the back burner that propaganda dresses itself in innocent appeal.
Then I go ahead and indulge. Because I’ve reviewed the risks, weighed them, and decided to still enjoy as responsibly as I can. To me this means not attaching myself to defending the material, just because I’m enjoying it - no matter my decision, I know something like the uke looking like a child is indicative of a greater cultural issue, and just because I can come up with excuses to why THIS depiction is ok because oh they’re not human/they look young but aren’t, it doesn’t change the fact of where this aesthetic originates…
Again I just think abstaining isn’t the only valid option to protect against unconscious bias.
This story has a unique art style, it’s fluffy, has past lives, it’s toxic, possessive, has Mpreg, and tragedy but it’s very sweet and fun slice of life at the same time and the stakes aren’t too high. Unironically one of my favorite manhwa
