Those who are reading this who are weirded out either haven't read much Chinese BL or are just clueless about Chinese tropes. With how much BL “raising your partner” stories I've read, I don't get surprised anymore. This manhua could be platonic or turn romantic, I will still think it's wholesome as long as the author delivers the story well.
I do wonder why there are so much physical and sexual abuse, violence, pedophilia, etc. in Chinese stories when they have such a heavy censorship.
