I can't believe this isn't more popular. The art is so well done! Such beautiful character designs and the story..... though at times a little hard to follow is very action and danger filled and keeps you wanting to read more. Everyone has such a sad backstory and it's hard to know who to root for because enemies continue to become allies.
So correct me if I'm wrong but it's looking like with the end panels that a child just found the tree that Ymir fell into, to gain her Titan powers and now I'm definitely thinking that was the authors way of saying you can't get rid of Titans the cycle is just going to start all over again. Or Ymir can't really die, I feel like that's the case because it's too specific that it just happens to be Mikasa's grandchild or child finding that tree.
But that's just my personal thoughts and opinion.
Like maybe this is an endless cycle and people have gotten rid of the Titans before but it keeps manifesting.
I think same too, but no connection to Ymir. She already said her farewells so she's gone. She too was once human and came in contact with the spine organism thing. She became the first host, kind of. Right now I suspect the organism is in its original form with no host. So if the kid does come in contact, he will be the next host. The next "Ymir" essentially.
I believe that’s still the tree Eren was buried under and possible the parasite that made the elf Ian’s Titans was also buried along with wrens body waiting for another host.
Oh yeah thats a great point, although things will be very different because Yimirs life played a big part on why the Titans turned out the way they did. So anything could happen with someone completely different.
