Later the MC is going to be confused as to why the ML said that, he’ll still think that he isn’t good enough for the ML and stay silent. The ML will think that the MC doesn’t like him and that he was being delusional about their relationship. There the author will start taking more creative liberties to drive this misunderstanding even further then finally bring them together just as the stalker is caught!
