To the people who can't understand why this comic is fatphobic: The name of the comic is "I became an ugly lady". Point out exactly what makes her appearance ugly, besides her weight.
Not the things she says, but we can clearly see is not ugly, like her hair.
From the cover, we see she will lose weight. From the synopsis, we see guys will flock to her. And we can already see that she's going to be exiled, so it's not a far reach to say that she's gonna make a comeback all thin and people will think that's pretty.
Yes, obesity is a disease. No, it's not healthy. But health hasn't even been mentioned in this comic, just appearance.
The whole point of body positivity is not to romanticize obesity, but to not shame people and make them hate themselves for being fat.
Because, guess what: even if someone wants to lose weight, that won't happen in the blink of an eye. That's a long process that sometimes take years, and that person will have to live with a fat body until they lose that weight, and it's unfair to make them hate themselves during this period. Fat people have the right to have self-esteem.
And some people may never manage to lose weight, be it because they are happy the way they are, or because they simply can't for a number of reasons, including medical ones.
It's not fair for people to make fat people hate themselves, that just makes fat people develop the feeling that they need to put their life on hold bc they can just start being happy when they are thin. But some may never get thing, and that condemns them to a life of sadness.
And for the people claiming "bUt hEaLtH" - as an ex-fat person, I ask you: which med school did you go to? Cuz like, you clearly think you're my doctor. Do you also go around giving unsolicited opinion to pregnant people about their health? To cancer patients? Now, that would be incredibly rude...

Melissa will fight and lose to Migen, however she's the one who's going to defeat him.
Yona is going to use a device to block Migen's magic. Him and Melissa are going to fight hand to hand combat, and he is clearly superior to Melissa and he's going to beat her up.
Up until then, Nine will not interfere because he understands he has to protect Yona because she's the one blocking Migen's magic.
However Migen is going to eventually overpower Melissa and he's going to bite her,and she will be unconscious. That's when nines werewolf blood will awaken, instead of Jack's: he realizes that the only person capable of saving Melissa is Yuri, who is trapped by Migen's magic, and thus he has to defeat Migen to release her if he wants to save Melissa.
But the fight was already won because Yona's device had a time limit and, after the time limit was over, Migen still couldn't use his magic. It is revealed then that Melissa used the opportunity to stab him with her sword, when Migen bit her, and since her sword is magic it cancels werewolf magic.
So Nine beats him up and the last thing I read was that Nine had fucked him up, and recognized that it was only possible because Melissa had hurt him with the sword.
And I really love that because it's consistent with the plot that Melissa is the heroine, so it's only coherent that she's the one who defeated Migen. She wasn't suddenly weakened down for the sake of ML protagonism. She fought bravely to the end, and Nine finished the job as part of his development. But SHE was the protagonist.

I already read the whole novel, aaaaand...

I'll start by the TL,DR: I don't like the emperor AT ALL.
Hear me out here: In a story with a very strong MC and a very strong Villain, his narrative reduced him to nothing more than a pawn in a game that is theirs.
Patrizia and Rosamund pushed this story forward. When you have a MC and a villainess like Patrizia and Rosamund, the ML gotta measure up to that.
But he didn't, and he didn't prove himself worthy of being the ML standing by Patrizia's side.
.
Now, for the long explanation.
First, the bad:
The very plot of the story required a King that hated the MC bc he loved his Mistress. But that could very easily make people hate him, so the author had to give us a reason for him to be the way he is, one that would explain and excuse his behavior.
So she chose trauma. That's a very valid reasons to be the way he is indeed - he was very abused by his mother and it was actually well portrayed how Rosamund took advantage of his traumas and emotional vulnerability to make him emotionally dependant on her.
But, as the story progresses, by never being held accountable for his actions because of his trauma, he also lost his autonomy in the story: everything he does is always because of someone else. He fell into the role of just annother pawn in the bigger game, just like the side characters who are allies to either Patrizia or Rosamund.
Patrizia and Rosamund are the real players here, and his narrative, created to give him ML relevance, just doesn't fit in organically with the rest of the plot, it's actually cringey how weak his narrative is when compared to Rosamund and Patrizia's.
Thus, the novel ended before he could actually make up to Patrizia - tho he was very repentant and well on his way to being a good husband by then. Still, I wish we had seen more, for I am not sure if he just changed the subject of his emotional dependency from Rosamund to Patrizia.
.
Now, for the good:
Rosamund, what a villain! Omg, we all hate Rosamund. I think she's one of the greatest villains because we don't pity or side with her, we loathe her. And her actions are not hollow, she's got a complicated background as well.
Get ready: she's gonna do worse. Some sick shit is gonna be revealed and we're gonna hate her even more.
But fear not: Our MC won't take it lying down. She's gonna do her worst as well. Patrizia commands the whole fucking story. She is absolutely worthy of being the MC, and of being the fucking ruling queen. Emperor can step down from his duties, bye bye.
I think what I absolutely LOVE about her narrative is how she achieves everything by herself. She doesn't get her happy ending by luck or any other plot device, she works for it. She's smart and she's fierce, she gathers allies and she's not above doing some really shady things against Rosamund.
Once she gets the upper hand against the villain, Rosamund will be reduced to a pathetic little girl struggling to survive. And failing hard.
I was really happy with how Patrizia dealt with Rosamund. She stepped up and plotted heavily to get the proof she needed to get that piece of shit executed. Best fucking revenge scene ever.
Also, loved how Rosamund's allies got the chop well. Fucking assholes.
As for Petrolina, loved her ending, with a loving husband of her own.
I love the designs of the characters, Dylan and Cedric are both so pretty.
And Cedric's outfits? Wow. So handsome.
I wish Dylan would have some more interesting outfits, like Patrizia (Lady to Queen). The dress she's currently wearing is so conservative, with long sleeves and high neck.
You gotta admit her outfit is pretty accurate though with how its drawn. its literally so realistic to certain dress designs I studied in middle school
Indeed, but Emily and Irene's (Cedric's mom who's yet to show up) dresses are actually more interesting. Irene even mentioned that Dylan was old-fashioned, so I guess this is a character trait.
Still I wish the author would take some liberties and make Dylan match Cedric in terms of fashion.
I also thought about that when I first started reading it and I gotta admit you right I would like to see her in something more flashy since she is so pretty
