And the moment when she was wishing Dranste (spelling . . .? Idk) was there to help her - what happened to the shard that he attached to her ear when she was a child? Did she just forget about it? She seemed to have suddenly forgotten a lot when she turned 18 and I suppose I'm just nit picking but I guess I just really wish the protagonist wasn't as useless or at least was more proactive about her situation, becoming a plot device rather than just being dragged along by outside forces
