I mean, I don't like when problems drag on for too long, either, but wasn't that solved too fast? They literally were together for THREE YEARS in high school & Neo couldn't corner Maki at least ONCE & try to force an explanation from him? Did he even try? Was him going to the past even necessary to solve the problem? Maki even ended up confessing everything on his own, Neo's help was minimum to none. Neo could have solved all his problems EVEN WITHOUT KNOWING THE FUTURE if he just tried to talk to Maki.
It just seems kind of silly, though it was kinda an original take on the "back in the future to fix things!" trope.
edit: waait, since Maki was his senpai, it's not possible they were together three years, at most it was two years, but that's still a long time.
Wow, this was emotionally exhausting. I didn't like it, but mostly because it's not my taste. I only like fluffy romances with light conflict and this is the exact opposite of that.
That aside, I really admired the flow of the plot and how much thought the artist put into the development of the story. I really respect them as a creator. I screenshotted all the part in their afterword where they explained their planning process lmao. They're crazy skilled at storytelling.
