I feel kinda annoyed that season 2 started out teasing a lot of mono/lego, for baron to just barge in & have all this huge history with Mono out of literally nowhere. It was like? What was even the point of that? If they hadn't developed Lego's character like they did I wouldn't had any expectations, but they teased a romance, just for... what?? For his story to end in a flop of "I never liked you, I was just teasing" & then just Mono tossing aside all of Lego's feelings as shallow because he "fell in love too easily"?
Well, if the author was going for "frustrating unrequited love & angst" for season 2, then I guess they accomplished that. I loved the vibe of season 1 so much more...
