Anw can anyone remind me why the black mages are hated? Are they evil (How so) or just stigmatized?

Oh I wasn't passing on her morality, just that she would've been interesting depending on the framing. Ppl are saying her backstory adds nothing to the story wc I find baffling since it adds more depth to her character and to the story.

It's not that I don't like Tess or any of the other potential FLs. If arthur was a normal genius teenager I wouldnt mind. But as a reincarnator who's mental age is probably that of a middle aged dude, it's weird to pair him w Tess esp when he does see Tess as a child + he also said before that he doesn't feel romantic attraction to anyone. But now there's this teenage hormones (probably preparing the audience for a romantic relationship soon). I wonder abt the reason for the change.
