Im not sure please correct me, but I've heard from a friend that her mother may have been more favored by the king than the current queen so they killed her. Thats why the king doesn't really punish her for everything she does even though its bad coz he feels guilty that his daughter lost her mum maybe because of his negligence. Then the sibling are trying to take her right/ strip her off her right as the daughter of the King via queens orders. The black haired guy was sent to her as her brother but he's just the queens pawn, maybe a nephew of hers or something, and he is set to replace her as thir in line.
