The tone of this doesn’t match the severity of its content. This mofo isn’t cutesy or funny he’s fucking awful and after the previous chapter there nothing “pretty” about him.
I’m interested to see where this goes and how the author will write this monster to somehow be sympathetic and redeemable for love.

I don't want to totally spoil the reading experience for you but I think the dissonance of how Juyeon is drawn, i.e. cutesey and often chibi-fied compared to his actions is a deliberate thing. He's so 'cute' that Jiwook constantly lets his guard down around him even after being irreparably hurt by him. Don't get me wrong, it's mostly just a plot device so more #yaoisex can occur, but Juyeon's monstrousness at complete odds with his 'cuteness' is a big part of this novel. Not to mention the fact that he's completely out of touch and sees a lot of what he's done to Jiwook as totally benign and tame. He says in the next scene in the novel that he 'hasn't even done anything to him yet'. Which is um! Certainly a statement.

Oh my god I figured he was gonna try to end himself but when I read the page I heart sank.
How could his family be so self-possessed that couldn’t see the absolute turmoil and crisis their son/brother/nephew was in. Especially considering he was also still in the process of grieving his Grandfather at the same time!!!
But wow I say it again the story board in this manhua is so cinematic. It’s stunnining and so capitulate in the nuance it manages to show with little or no dialogue!
As I said before there is a dissonance between the content and the mood of this story and characters therein.
The MC enduring a violent and bloody rape. Why in the world is the he acting like this? His character has been already established to be fairly quick-tempered and prideful. That would have destroyed his pride in such a profound way. But he acting like he was only beaten and then had rough sex? It doesn’t make sense.
Also it’s really strange how rare the use of the term rape is in BL even though it is a prevalent occurrence/plot device in the stories. It’s annoying.
Call a spade a spade it’d be far more interesting to see and explore how someone could possibly grow to forgive or actively disassociate to cope with another character doing something so heinous to them. Instead so many story just chalk it up to rough sex and it’s a tired trope.
Plus as a queer man it is really weird to have so many stories depict gay sex this way, as if all men have a fucked up sense of what consent is or that sexual trauma doesn’t effect us. It’s really weird
