The character motivations in story are so all over the place….I enjoy the ride but god did the choices Yugeon started making for the last 20 to 30 chapters feel all over place and uncontextualized.
I think the storytelling is deliberately broken to accentuate the drama in the plot. In some sense you shouldn't expect rational decision in a world that is deliberately set up in such a messed up way. The only somewhat "rational thread" that was established in the beginning was the family bond between MC and his brother but despite all efforts even that is erased. So the story follows the classic cliché of slowly destroying everything so things can possibly start anew and go towards a better future maybe.
This is at least what I got out of it.
Like I said before I don’t feel bad for you. You knew this would likely be his reaction and still made a frivolous decision. You are in an extremely precarious situation and should conduct yourself as such. Kangwoo has shown you and told you who and what he is several times.
As Maya Angelou said “when someone shows you who they are believe them the first time”.
You’ve been sitting around taking in the good parts all the while sinking deeper and deeper into the palms of a murdering abuser. Of course he hit you again of course he’s going to make you drink to nausea.
Because he does not value your personhood. You are property to him. A pet. Something to train and play with.
He should be using more brain power on how to get out. He should be focusing on surviving this but instead deep down I think he wants to find a reason to stay and time and time again it will be his undoing.

Ooooo the drama the angst!!! Delicious glorious messy DRAMA!!! I LIVE!
