this is pretty interesting! i like that the dom is a sub and the sub is a top (initially). i always wondered why subs HAD to be bottoms and vice versa. it’s also my first time seeing a major character in the dom/subverse actually be a switch. plot-wise it’s pretty basic. the author making them both switches near the end is interesting to me. you often see physically switches but not so much mental switches. it does kind of feel like a cop out, though, because it kind of erases what made this story so unique in the first place, a sub wanting to top a dom. I’d like to see this idea expanded upon in a different way with better execution. this was cute, though

Although I enjoyed it, I came to this wanting bottom Dom so for what this is I can't say it fulfilled that. It makes sense for him to be a switch simply because from the beginning he didn't seem very dom-like if that makes sense... in the author's note they said they wrote this because they wanted mental switches and I think that's obvious, because from the beginning it's setting him up to be a sub rather than establishing him as a Dom
the first time it was interesting (largely because I don't know much about the Dom/sub verse) but the second time, yeah I expected it. The end vignette of their switch love life was cute but I think in the rest of the story it's like the author has the same bias as the characters we're supposed to disagree with?? like the bottom is more of a sub than a dom and vice versa
it was still enjoyable and it was definitely sweet but I think maybe some of the writing has room for improvement, like the push and pull didn't really get me at all (I'm a sucker for push and pull)
I think the sadistic beauty (GL) is better at this sort of thing? I mean, it's completely different so maybe not, but it's a story I really enjoy and how I view it is although the masochist is a bottom and into submission in the bedroom(and elsewhere, I'm pretty sure they do it in other places) , she's totally dominant when it comes to what she wants, and vice versa, the top in that case is submissive in a sense?? I think those two characters have really good chemistry and that quality about them really balances the relationship out (I love them a lot, can you tell?)
one day I'd like to see a truly dominant uke, like I believe it is possible... this was analysed a lot in S1 arcane, typical symbols of vulnerability were subverted to show power. Very realistic, relatable manhwa. You can really connect to the two leads and identify with their struggles. From that standpoint, it’s well written. As a romance, this is pretty lacking. It feels like we’re being told that the leads are romantic, they’re this or that, etc, but I don’t think the author sufficiently expresses their supposed chemistry. Like the leads’ relationship, the story also feels unstable with the constant switching back and forth from the present to the past. It’s not the worst execution I’ve seen. I personally DESPISED the second couple like you will never convince to feed into the teacher x high schooler bull. They were just unneeded. This story gave me mixed emotions and had a bland aftertaste. Ending is also kind of abrupt and offered no resolution to Sunwoo’s major plagiarism conflict. I sound harsh, but it’s ultimately because I think this could’ve been so much more than it is.
