...I wish the author could be better at writing female characters, the blue haired lady in the Magi team seems normal enough! Why are the rest of the females .... so weird????
I can't get over that the "daughter" has the hots for him, that's just ew. Like familial love is enough. I also find it strange why can't he just call her "my niece" or "my ward" and she calls him "my uncle" or "my guardian"??????? That's sufficient. That contract is just a weird plot device for the author's strange fantasies of having an almost ADULT "daughter". At least he recognises that, with how all the other characters being weirded out by it.
Also, that contract is not a legal father daughter contract anyways because you have to submit an application to the family registration department. Which... they didn't seem to apply for ?
The co-worker is also really strange, she acknowledges time and time again that he's stronger than expected but simultaneously treats him like a weakling. Also, that weird servitude ability doesn't make any sense. Her ability is of a scholar's sword manship , why the hell would her ability that is based off a WANDERING SCHOLAR NEED A LORD TO SERVE?????
Like wtf.
Also their first convo is so cringy. "My only hunter"... yeah... no. Bro, you are a working adult. Colleagues CHANGE . People quit and change jobs all the time and yet they are making it seem like it's a romantic relationship. Also, you technically don't need to work together all the time... if you have mercenaries? Like, just ask a guild to provide data and footage to be reviewed? Or... ask guilds to go in with the government officials???? Isn't that safer than a SINGLE hunter? Is their budget that shitty? If our MC didn't go in, the other dude would have died a thousand times over, with how ridiculous the safety standards are.
His job description is also weird. His job is to collect info and map out dungeons right? So why the duck did the first assignment we see, is of a dungeon that already has many people constantly going in and out???? Also, why the heck does the department have only 3 people???? If yiu are gonna map them out for info, at least do it before the other go in the dungeon? Also, don't you need waaaaaaaaaay more people to map out the dungeons????? Also, why don't they just make the device being COMPULSORY to carry on, or ask mercenaries to do it and let the footage be double checked by government agents? what. the heck. That'd make more sense right????
Also, why the hell does normal civilians not have access to those maps or appear to have no knowledge of them?????? Isn't that the whole effing point????? To let regular hunters be safer with map knowledge?????
The high-school bitchy girl is also strange, her character is so random and out of place with all the other characters. What is her purpose even? To show that bitchy girls exists???? We already have enough villains or Canon fodder who are used as a face slapping device when the MC is like " see, I'm stronger than you think".
His department head is honestly kinda cute, the author really captured that elder superior busybody nature who is curious at whether his subordinates will hook up. (I know I heard/ minorly a part of such convos lol )
Honestly, I feel like it'd be safer at times if the MC would have clarified that he was strong enough before hand. I mean it's nice seeing weak cannon fodders giving him tough love and protection when they tried desperately to protect him when they think he was a weakling.

Damn, I cried in Lanzhu's backstory, so glad that they can be reunited again
