His motivations and understanding were all correct and come from a good place. He has good intentions. You can't tell me you will leave your besties with psychotic men just because they look hot and your bestie is deluded. It was a circumstantial affection. The friend might have a selfish affection and ulterior motive but he never wanted to act on it. His social status reminds him they cannot be romantic partners, but it's always been his mission to be her trusted friend and servant.
Now I think it's best to confront the issue in a wider level and for MC to go baack to her house, take back her autonomy, then figure out a way to healthily pursue her romance with the ML. That way, she can keep her sane best friend and her psycho man. Win-win situation since their protections are both useful.

I know the ML is still gonna win in the end but I want a second ML so good we all just start rooting for him. Maybe he even gets a chance and the MC love him back until some death type of thing come in between them and when MC recovers, the ML is already mentally sane and gives him a chance hahahaha

I hope Jun and Hyeonwoo patch things up as friends, humans are complicated, this manhwa captures that. Sometimes you make peace with things and learn to compromise. They were best friends, I think more than the romantic kind, Hyeonwoo is still grieving losing his best friend. Subin was his greatest foundation, he was there when Hyeonwoo lost his family.
Still, I noticed how much Subin has become Jun in this chapter, with his stern care for Hyeonwoo, knowing it's not romantic anymore. They say you pick up the little and mundane habits and behaviors from your loved ones, he surely did.
This chapter definitely solidifies my prayer that Jun and Subin will get back together.
Also, the colors and composition of this chapter aaaahhbh, the way Hyeonwoo was fading, while Subin was half-way to it, and Jun is a solid color. I always remember why I fell in love with this manhwa and its artists!! The change in style did not lose the integrity of s1!!

As much as I enjoy unhinged characters, I really detest those who frame others for fun. It wasn't even political or valuable, he's just jealous. And want to manipulate Chloe in submission. Insane asshole lmao

Okay, my bad, it was actually political but manipulative more so. Love how angsty and painful this is. The dialogues and writing are so good. Chloe is such a strong character, all of them have good character dynamics and development.
I also love how implied it is that Mother Thisse knew and helped Chloe. If your mother knows how insufferable you are and help your spouse to escape, you really fucked up.
Still I understand Damien however twisted he is, as much as I understand Chloe. I would not let my wife die for something that does not even have a life at that very moment.
Anyway, I want happiness for Chloe and her Verdier family. Although, I'm so excited for this upcoming arc!!
And people are already getting tired and complaining fhdhfkjf how would you enjoy the process and slow burn when you don't want the process and slowness???????? The story is just laying the groundwork. Just come back to it in a year then. Hahaha. Novels are already hard to compress in a graphic novel and yet you want it to happen in a blink of an eye like there are no real people and real work involved. Especially funny since we're pirating this. It's just a pity for the author/s.
Yess!
How are people complaining?! This story is so interesting to me and so different from those manhwas we read all the time "reincarneted villainess mc and so on"
