I love Shouma!! <3

IsiWiesel January 2, 2019 2:01 pm

This is already the second manhwa I've read in the past few days that has a weird app "advertisment"... I don't know if that vibe app really exists on the korean market but the whole interaction looks so much like an ad, it is annoying.

    SlySpice January 3, 2019 1:09 pm

I thought the same hahaha.. that felt so off

IsiWiesel December 31, 2018 12:27 pm

I am utterly confused. I don't get the plot and more importantly I just do not understand the mc.

    Mikaela December 31, 2018 2:26 pm

yeah same. i don't understand the story anymore (⊙…⊙ )

IsiWiesel December 20, 2018 9:43 pm

What the..? I want Eimi and Simone to end up as a couple! Forget Wanichin, get yourself the guy who loves and adores you for who you are. Get yourself the guy that you don't have to chase desperately. Get yourself the guy who treats his girlfriends well! Get yourself a Simone!

    Morcheeba January 6, 2019 12:55 am

There you go, the "Simone"-Trauma is still alive and kicking, I see.

IsiWiesel December 2, 2018 5:55 pm

Hild, we get it! When Thorfinn kills someone you will kill him, you don't have to remind him every time.
It's getting annoying! Especially when Thorfinn has these deep and emotional moments and Hild is in the background like 'you lucky you didn't kill anybody or you would be dead'.
We understand her agenda, we do not need it deepthroated every time.

    larena December 24, 2018 10:43 am

I know, but I think is was her way to say "good job" and the authors way of showing that she kinda accepts Thorfinn already. She's too proud to tell him something like that otherwise. So basically it is: "you made a good choice, I don't actually want to kill you anymore so thanks for not killing him, so I didn't have to kill you."

IsiWiesel November 21, 2018 8:25 pm

I recommend reading it on webtoon because the translation is much better and there are no missing chapters like here.

    IsiWiesel November 21, 2018 8:30 pm

I'm re-reading it on webtoon because the translation is totally different... ( ̄∇ ̄")

IsiWiesel September 23, 2018 9:26 pm

It has been a while since I read this manga and I indeed discovered some new chapters but now I look at the date of the last update and I am in shock! It has been over a year?! Has this been dropped by the translators? Chichi Kogusa is such a lovely story and a real tear-jerker and it would be a shame to not know how the lifes of our Tora and Shirio continue. To sum this up, i want an UPDATE! :'(

IsiWiesel September 14, 2018 10:51 pm

Waah! I hate the name change, it feels so weird. I hate when they do that. And why did they change them to english names? They are korean?! And they kept the korean surnames... so weird.

IsiWiesel March 11, 2018 9:45 am

The translated chapters were finally uploaded here! And there even is a new translated chapter! (☆▽☆)
But the cute kiss scene in Chapter 51 is not shown. Too bad!

That's just plain rape. No consent at all. So sad that so many yaoi mangas are just displaying rape as a form of a 'seduction technique'. It really is a downfall of the genre.

    Raven February 11, 2018 8:05 am

its not a downfall , as you know there are people who likes rape in fiction, so this is just your opinion but if your saying that this is a fact, sorry but you dont know that there are more people than you think who likes rape, and btw why do you think that authors like to make stories with rape, because that is where the market is,it is because majority of the readers here gets aroused to rape in fiction, so its like a marketing strategy. but again this is just your opinion, so it really isn't a downfall..,to you it is, but the authors.. they're having the best time of their lives HAHAHAHHA.

Saying it is a downfall of the genre really is only my opinion. I just think it is sad to see that 'the market' is demanding rape in mangas. It shouldn't. I think it is ok to like different plot lines and stories including the ones which concentrate on a story with rape or around it. I am just sad that there is so much rape-content on this website and mangas in general at the moment.
And I was especially shocked/angry/disappointed by this manga because there was no warning at all. It was only categorized under yaoi and not mature, adult, etc. as well. When I want to read that kind of content I want to choose it myself and not be completely surprised by such bluntly shown rape in which there was so no former storyline of these characters interacting. But just a person being drunk, saying no to the rapist in an open space, passing out (why nobody helped him and just let him be dragged away buy a stranger who he refused is bewildering to me also), waking up in a hotel room with a sex toy in their anus and handcuffed and than be raped by the stranger who's only reason to rape him is because he is his type?? What the hell? And then the mangaka proceeds to make the rape 'ok' by making the victim think and say 'why does it feel so good?'. I mean... that is just not enjoyable.. for me at least.

There actually IS a warning, in yellow letters right below the summary. You should consider "Yaoi" to be a flag right alongside "adult, mature, etc" too. I disagree about the rape trope being the "downfall", some yaoi are very well thought out with the rape playing a pivotal role. There are some manga that just wouldn't be the same without it. I agree with just about everything else you said in the message i'm responding to however. You have the same issues i had, there was no logic to the order of events whatsoever and the rape served no purpose. It made no sense that the people in the bar let him take the uke... The "why does it feel good?" is actually a realistic response, you should separate your judgement of this phrase from your distaste towards the rape trope because this phrase isn't just "another part of the rape trope", it is a real problem that people irl face too. Whether you like it or not, if your genitals are stimulated for a certain amount of time, you ARE going to feel good. This creates a divide between mind and body that, in a lot of cases, creates a feeling of guilt. "well, if it felt good then was it even rape? even though i feel this bad about what happened and never want to see them again? am i a slut?", thoughts like these make the victim think they're partially ar fault for what happened and the abuser will use this to their advantage. "You're saying you don't want it, but your body says otherwise", things like this will be said in a manipulative manner to try and keep the victim quiet both during and after the rape by placing some of the blame on them. It is an actual response that people have/think.
