It does sound like a shitty mentality... But I can't help but feel bad for people who have been in these type of situstions, with no one to count on or having no reason to live other than being a parent... If they are trying their best to be a parent and the child seems happy and well taken csre of, it is in some way ok to me... There are no perfect families but I understand what you mean
