Hey so no matter what his backstory was doesn't justify his actions. Sure, I do feel bad for what he went through, but what he did to Dan and how he treated him shouldn't be justified because of it.

“Bad Trauma”? Yes, not everyone experienced something like that, but surely, as an adult especially, he has a rational mind as to not treat Dan like what he did.

“Oh this is what happened in my past.” That shouldn't be an excuse tho?

I'm only replying because of your statement about how bad trauma fucks you up. And yes, you can be empathetic and not bring it up, totally understandable, but if your trauma response involves you treating people horribly then I suggest talking things more with your therapist.
