everytime i see comments on stories like this self-reporting that they're apart of the illiteracy crisis, i get so scared that everything is soon going to be dumbed down just because the general public lacks basic reading comprehension due to tiktok/social media brainrot.

I really enjoy reading this so much, but only for the writing, it’s so eloquent, the dialogues are very nuanced. My brain sometimes forget that there is art to be seen because it’s focused on the writing. I feel like I’m reading Wuthering Heights but gay and has more rape and well…. The only similarity actually is the writing and the obsessive part lol

Muchul makes me so sick. The arrogance and ignorance is jarring. He let na haesoo just struggle by herself so much. He destroyed her so much that she is emotionally stunted. I don't blame her for acting very childlike when she's a grown woman. It's a side effect of all that emotional abuse and having no way to vent. Taeha is twisted but he actually just let's her be. I love that his default setting with her is to be accommodative. It's hard on him but he loves her enough to be patient with her. He doesn't rush to put labels on things and just let's her choose him at her own pace. That redhead bitch is a true villain in a horror movie

Also, let's be honest here, he doesn't even care that it's Myeongil...he just wants someone who will love and care for him unconditionally. Something about that is so selfish to me.

Jingi at least cares about the both of them. When he said "Cell 2 is full" I realized he cares more about Myeongil than I initially thought. And he's accepted his role as Heonjae's caretaker. I don't see a reality where he ditches the brother role, but heonjae's already shown us he's capable of doing so /shrugs

Either way, in the real world, I wouldn't want either of them in my life bye

Honestly? Ya’ll keep complaining about Jingi but lets be fr. He cares more about Myeongil than Heonjae does. Realistically, neither are good candidates for Myeongil, but if I had to chose, I’d go with Jingi.
And no, not because of his looks.

Jingi at first didn’t care for Myeongil, obviously. He was just a new toy. But gradually, he actually looked out for him. And in this most recent chapter when Jingi says “cell 2 is full”, it proves that those two are all he needs and cares about. He doesn’t need a new toy because Myeongil is around. And sure, it could be convenience. But would the old Jingi go out of his way to give his toys money, items, or space? That whole time while Myeongil and Jingi weren’t on speaking terms, Jingi never jumped on Myeongil, and I think that says a lot on how Jingi feels.

But Heonjae? He’s getting people, including his own brother, out of the picture for Myeongil. And Myeongil is right; Heonjae just needs someone who can love him unconditionally and he’s anxiously attached to Myeongil because he showed him kindness when no one else would. For the first time, someone who wasn’t Jingi, showed him similar feelings. It’s not quite love, but an obsession. A desire and craving for positive attention. And an emotional release. He’s found someone who can give him more than what Jingi has, despite Jingi accepting his role as Heonjae’s caretaker. And thus, Heonjae believes getting him out of the picture over an assumption is better than Myeongil’s own happiness. Heonjae didn’t even listen to Myeongil’s wants about the prizes and assumed the best prize was the best option.
Oh and let’s not forget he took the opportunity to confess while he allowed Jingi to walk into danger. Into a place Heonjae fully knew could get his closest ally (aside from Myeongil) killed.
Heonjae’s fear of never seeing Myeongil again isn’t anything romantically motivated, but simply a fear of abandonment. A fear of losing the person that can show him positivity and is an easy lay. Not because it is Myeongil. If we’re being real here, it could’ve been anyone as long as the gave him that same basic human decency.

Sorry for the yap fest but I truly think there’s something deeper with Jingi and there’s hints and development behind his character in comparison to Heonjae who is progressively getting worse. I hope we get to see more of Jingi’s thoughts and how he’ll progress!!

So, Jingi acknowledges how much younger Myeong-il is, but Myeong-il can definitely no longer be considered a child at all in his age XDD But maybe with his elementary-level spelling he can be considered a child, lol.

So ML knew MC’s mom since he was like 10(?). He met her at an orphanage and she happened to sponsor him. She found a family to adopt him. His family loves him. They kept in contact throughout the years but their relationship wasn’t exactly affectionate (?). Anyways one day the mom contacted him and asked him to tutor MC because the mom is worried about him and having someone close in age would maybe help MC open up about his troubles. ML knew from the start about everything and he agreed cause well the mom is his benefactor? He expected MC to be a brat spoiled by the almighty mom but he met a quiet and shy MC and kinda quickly took a liking to him and started worrying about him and everything. He was pretty genuine about how he treated Wooyeon besides how their tutoring started and him getting updates from the mom, when Wooyeon got send home from school because he beat up the bully. He was always worried about him being alone and all that. He was also feeling really guilty the whole time and when Wooyeon confessed ML knew he needed to draw a line and then disappeared. he has been feeling guilty about it since!

So after they met again and MC asked him if he was an alpha. ML first didn’t know it was MC but when his friend told him shortly after that the name was “Seon Wooyeon” ML immediately recognized him and started chasing after him but our MC was quicker and gone. ML really seemed like he wanted to repair the relationship (?) but when they met again at that drinking party MC “pretended” like he didn’t know him, so ML hesitated and thinking MC didn’t recognize him but he was always thinking about confessing and all that. He was nice to him because he felt guilty but also worried and besides that everything was pretty genuine though he could have been less ambiguous lol. none of his actions here were manipulated by the mom. i don’t think he was in contact like that with the mom after he quit tutoring him.

ML was always really torn about confessing to being hired by his mom back when he was a tutor and recognizing him and not saying anything. Of course him not confessing at any earlier point of their budding romance is the cause of their conflict though. happens around 3/4 into the story around chapter 70-ish

Guys the age gap in this is done so beautifully. I know 4 years is barely an age gap especially when you're 20 and 24 (or legally 18 and 22) but when I first read the description it bothered me personally that they met when they were 16 and 20 (or again, legally, 14 and 18) so I decided to read the novel. And no, this shit was done in such a pure way, such a beautifully significant way that even real life can't beat how well done their relationship was. Their ages played such a significant yet pure role. Please dont scroll any further if u don't want to actually get spoiled.























The way dohyun fell in love with wooyeon when he used to tutor him was absolutely beautiful. And the best part was that it wasn't romantic since he specified it himself, he was so in love to the point he was worried he'd lose the persona he'd made due to being an orphan and having received no love but it wasn't romantic, not until he met him again in university and those feelings turned from platonic affection to romantic affection. The parallel between him and wooyeon is so good too. Wooyeon having feelings of admiration for his tutor at the start and then those slowly turned in romantic love. Both of them looking and admiring eachother as a mirage. Their relationship going beyond simply romance when they confessed, it wasn't just all romance or sexual, it was normal affection as two people, normal comfort and warmth they found in eachother as two friends. I adore, ADORE this series and I binge read the novel in one night, it was so pure, I specifically mentioned the age gap because it played a huge role without being creepy or even close to being weird. Their relationship trespasses simple affection and admiration but defines itself around every sort of feelings possible and I love them. Plus dohyun is NOT a red flag. What part of character plot and development do you not understand. Seth has committed so much evil sins. Isis had to experience all he’s experiencing. This experience Seth goes through is what he put Isis and other woman through. It is not okay 100% but it’s part of the story development and plot where he “opens his eyes” and if you’ve read ennead you can see what he thinks . The slave market, Isis has been through that, the temple men, Isis has been through that.

Now for the him being “weak part” y’all his power was literally sealed and he got put to be a Demi god what did yall expect. Despite being sealed he managed to move the sand - that’s how powerful he is. Sure he’s not as badass as he used to be but that’s because again, character growth and development. He is figuring out different aspects to his life, he is changing back to who he was before he became the evil god of the desert.

Seth doesn’t only mean evil god. He didn’t always want to be that. Osiris made him that version to keep people away and afraid of him yet enough to also have worshippers . So stop getting stuck on the past. He will eventually get his seal off and he will be the same badass he used to be. Just not on the wrong side anymore. And thanks perfectly alright.

I mean I’ve been here since the first release of enneads chapter and I’m not complaining. Honestly I’ve been reading yaoi manga since 2010 and it’s tiring with all the new readers. You can tell who’s a new reader just by their ridiculous comment. Back in the days we used to get the shittiest translation and still be on our feet for the uploader.

The comments were filled with people who actually knew how to recognize a story through plot not sex We’d sympathize, mourn, grief but not be ridiculous.
