In Brazil, it's forbidden in volumes over 50ml. Ginger spray is usually used as a substitute. The best way to protect yourself if you're not a fighter is to run.
In my country it's also a forbidden item cause it's the same category as weapon. You can get to jail for carrying it without a license. Same goes with taser etc.
Crazy but there was a case where a woman had a restraining order against an ex and was eventually forced to use her pepper spray on the asshole. She was later on sued that her having pepper spray in her possession proved premeditation.

Not cool anymore, when I got the license plate they looked it up to make sure that it was allowed so the fact that I was able to get it at all shows that it's just a genre of manga and doesn't mean anything bad. I'm thinking it's a homophob who reported it because they had to have known what the license plate means and they were so offended that they actually reported it to my State DMV.

Decided that I'm going to get a large customed decal that says YAOIFAN and put it right above my license plate. The government might be able to restrict my license plate but decals on your cars in America are protected by the first amendment #freedom of speech.
