I'll be the first to say I didn't like Haesoo for the longest, but I think him and Hyesung could honestly be friends or something. I didn't realize that for Betas there is definitely some difficulty in this world.
With Alphas and Omegas there's that feeling of like "Eat or Be Eaten" but for Betas it's like --what do you do if you're not even on the table...? It's almost like they're just seen like societal extras. Placemats, utensils.
And that's kind of shitty.
So I think I finally see why Haesoo had such little confidence in himself. However, I hope he comes to some maturity and finds someone good for him. I think another Beta that is confident in himself would suit him, rather than the brother.

Yes it took me reading this 3 times to figure out if I like him or not.
For the record, I read it thrice for Hakdo and Sangho’s development (which is perfection of course). But as an aside I realized it’s. . . actually okay if Sangho and Hyunwoo end up having a dinner or two. I think they won’t have closure if their past keeps getting pushed to the side.
It happened. They fucked up. It has fo be admitted, especially on Hyunwoo’s side because his behavior is a bit immature. His personality itself is horrendous, but it doesn’t bother me that much. Tbh, I am the same sometimes when teaching people. Like “raise your hand and that’s an F” lmao so I guess I found the bitter humor in how unpersonable he is
That’s the thing, though! His character is annoying, but it’s only because we are all anticipating the main pair so hard that any “delay” of sorts we internalize to the maximum level. But if Sangho and him have dinner and it’s just them putting everything on the table, then Sangho can move on.
And we know he hasn’t because of chapters where he is literally with Hakdo but feeling troubled by his ex. He’s taking time to process and get over it.
Also I recommend re-reading the story. I just scroll past stuff that’s not related to the main. Hakdo is really growing on me. He’s so handsome.
Period. I don’t believe she can be trusted, especially with Taesoo. Even when she was caught she immediately shifted the situation to “what if he’s dangerous” and made herself the victim.
I’m sorry but Joonhyuk is a damn fool if he thinks that she won’t let him down again or that because she apologizes she is changed. I hope he considers breaking up with her seriously, or even taking a break. I hope the father intervenes for once.
And what was up with his selfish mom being like “Oh you embarrassed me.” Like bitch that’s his whole job, imagine how he feels. I don’t mean to rant but those kind of parents that treat their kids like a prize are annoying.
Very common with abusive relationships. They think of the times the abuser was kind to them and think that it was real, and because they were kind during those times and seem to regret their actions, that they'll change.
