This story made my heart ache in so many ways I’d say the romance aspect that takes part in the latter half was pretty meh but the first half about FL’s high school days definitely hit home for a depressed bitch like me lmfao.
There’s still quite a few loose ends and I feel like maybe the author was in a rush to put this story to rest, but that’s ok. I honestly liked how it wasn’t dragged out any longer than it already was bc the conflict was getting dulled out.
Overall a 4/5. Pros are the beautiful art, emotional narrative, and range of characters. Cons = incomplete storytelling (lots of charas just straight up never show up again, are underdeveloped, or pushed to the curb lol), and in my honest opinion, lack of chemistry between the two mcs.
I just felt like their relationship was based almost entirely off of codependency and it lowkey weirded me out that he was licking and sucking on her when she was still a high schooler lmao. That being said, I feel like she was all the more impressionable at that age and developed this idea that he was the only person in the world who she could rely on for emotional support. Ofc her circumstances were extreme and he was the only person she could turn to but again, building such a relationship leads to codependency which isn’t the most inspiring message to be sending out.
The story starts out unique and compelling, but by the end of it, FL just starts using talk no jutsu to try and redeem the bad guys lol. I wouldn’t go out of my way to recommend this toon but it’s not a bad read either.
