Mari was going out with a man that she loved but he had a wife and she knew it...the MC tought he was "going out" with a man that coincidentally was Mari's affair. I'm not saying he did good, I'm just saying I don't like Mari neither as a friend (everything always was about her and she is quite egoistical) nor as a lover (she went out with someone who was married, the one most at fault is the husband but she knew she was doing something that could break and harm someone else, even if it wasn't her friend, and was totally and irreverently unapollogetical about it) while we have been seeing the MC's path in being in love with someone he couldn't, with all the self blame and pain that came with that, and finally...he made a good decision, he decided to let that love go and stop harming anymore the people that were involved. He knew he was in the WRONG while Mari wasn't.
That's just my opinion and I understand that everyone has his own...and I also don't hate Mari, I just think I don't like her as a human being, at least now.

(( Btw , I "hate" the MC too , and I completely agree with any criticism he gets. One can't defend him 'cus he thought he was helping someone cheat, but he still did it. Also, he blames no one else for his own mistakes and actually decides to take some responsibility. So idk why people are getting so defensive whenever Mari receives any criticism. But my "hate" for Mari grew right after the Wife confrontation when I saw her acting like a remorseless brat.
Idk and idc about the "responsibility of a friend to not betray another friend/not cheat with their lover" or "friends owe their friends blah blah blah", but I do believe that People Owe Other People (even if they're not friends/just stangers) some basic courtesy By Not Cheating With Their Lovers.
