it's like you guys don't know the premise of the story. It's not about warm and fuzzies, it's....actually about just desserts! lol

Think about it. Wataru was walking around calling gay people homos while indiscriminately freaking out whenever he got hit on by one. Regardless of the trauma, he wasn't being mindful nor respectful.

Then there's Hachi who is widely known as a super sadistic guy who purposefully pulls people in and just spits them out. So him leaving behind a trail of exes isn't a surprise, especially when one got revenge on him by exposing his activities in front of Wataru.

We now have Wataru who doesn't go around using slurs or freaking out over anyone who is gay. And we now have Hachi who broke character when all contact with Wataru was taken away and the threat of Hinata taking him was present. To yell at Hinata the way he did and then glare a Tomiki, only to comfort Wataru at the end....

yeah, just desserts. Both people had to come down from their bad habits in order to have a relationship with each other.

Still waiting for that sex scene, though. And knowing the author, it'll be good!

THISSS thank you heavenly creature! I’m about to make a comment about something that’s bothering me and kinda relating to this

    Jayjay July 23, 2020 4:51 am

You do have a point there, for sure. The uke wasn't exactly a sweet little angel, either... To me, it's not actually the "cheating" itself that irks me, though. It's Hacchi applying double-standards in their relationship, denial of his feelings be damned. Him being in denial isn't enough for me to bear all his double-standard crap. I really, REALLY dislike double standards, and guys who selfishly apply unequal rules in relationships, without ever getting even a "fleeting feeling" that they're being complete asswipes to their partners... (We're in the *21st* century, already, you Neanderthals! Time to gain some self-awareness and act like *real* Homo Sapiens'!)

I'm saying this, because I doubt Hacchi previously went around hypocritically demanding one-way "exclusivity" from those exes he later tossed away, or from his friends with benefits... as I'd like to think this bout of (denial-induced) double-standard hypocrisy is (hopefully) a novel occurrence for him. (If it wasn't, that'd make him an absolute trash rather than an occasional neanderthal).

Don't worry, I get your point. Hacchi really was trying to keep Wataru to himself while not remembering that the stuff he's used to doing is no longer ok. The fact that he had a GPS app on Wataru's phone while knowing full well he hurt his trust and feelings...the fact that he was getting turned on as he was trying to keep a hurt Wataru from entering his own apartment is proof that he wasn't being mindful of his own actions. I mean, he gets turned on when he's making out with the guy in a closet only to use an ex to get rid of his pent-up arousal. So when Hinata told him that he doesn't treat him like he's your man and Hacchi got mad....that made me laugh. This man broke character because a very real threat turned up.

was because the story was hot.

However, when I bought the official translation, certain scenes (compared to the unofficial text) didn't have the same intensity and longing from Natori as I expected when I first read this.

Example: The stairwell scene in chapter one where Asako says goodbye and good luck to Natori after finally being able to produce his favorite scent; Natori is not only disappointed, but acts out in a moment of desperation and lust.

In the unofficial version he says: "I don't want this to be the last time. Just a little...more." The latter part of the sentence is uttered as he feels up her thigh.

But the official version plays out the scene like this: "... 'In the end'? Please don't say that. I want more. A lot more."

The former narrative plays it out like Natori can't seem to stop himself from wanting to stay with her more. I like how that sentence was paced out with the panels to make the reader really feel Natori's wishful lust brewing and it doesn't really make him sound too self-serving, it actually leaves space for him to be a bit innocent in his behavior. And even though the illustrations don't change, the translations pretty much can switch how immersive a scene can be based off the phrasing.

I sometimes wonder if the official translators are simply trying to keep the two translations separate from each other so that there are no claims of stealing, because even though unofficial translations are made by a single person or a group, the fact is that it's still a work done by someone for free. So I'm wondering how the rest will turn out by the time I finish volume 2.

So here are the breakdowns of the main characters.

Ikumi is the main character. Even though he's an upstanding student, he has issues with being a pregman since pregmen normally have very girly characteristics and he doesn't. His father is overseas on business and his mother passed away when he was little.

Chiharu is Ikumi's childhood friend and best friend. Chiharu has always loved him since they were little, however since learning Ikumi's secret as a pregman, his goal is to make Ikumi his and have children with him. He's greatly possessive of him and he scares a lot of people. Ikumi decided to let Chiharu have sex with him during his heat.

A senior, Leon, is a pregman who is openly promiscuous and doesn't care who his partner is. He one day raped Ikumi's friend Naoto simply because Naoto was around while he was in heat. Leon is conniving and will try to put Ikumi or Chiharu in messed up situations for his own entertainment. Miyuki seems to be the only person Leon is willing to protect.

Chiharu's mom is overprotective and against the idea of pregmen because she considers them unnatural.

Miyuki is a pregman who was saved from a bullying incident by Ikumi and developed a crush on him despite knowing Ikumi is a fellow pregman. He tried to have sex with Ikumi when they were both in heat and was aggressively pulled off and threatened by Chiharu.

Soma is like Chiharu in that he also has a crush on a pregman, Miyuki, and wants to have a proper relationship with him. And like Naoto, he's gentle and doesn't want to provoke. Soma is part of the student council and wants to improve relations between normal students and pregmen with the help of Chiharu.

Naoto is a bit of an airhead, but he's kind and very friendly. Chiharu is careful around him because he fears he might pull Ikumi away from him. Naoto's uncle is married to a pregman and they are both expecting their first child.

Am I right in thinking that the Twitter guy got those profiles from the printed version of the webtoon? Because the English version has both of their heights as an inch more than what he posted.

Also, me and Daehyung would have been best friends in high school! His hobbies are definitely something you'd like if you were a teen in the 90's! lol

Catalyste July 20, 2020 2:32 pm

After how long did we finally get an update, 3 years?

Thank you translators for your work!

Catalyste July 20, 2020 12:22 pm

that was a sweet kissing scene!

I honestly can't wait for more!

On another note, I hope someone picks this up for translation.

Catalyste July 20, 2020 11:49 am

If you're a translator taking the raw from Tappytoon, just understand that they blackout and blockout the sex scenes.

I'm not going to lie, watching Kang and YiYoung trying to feel each other out is fun and all, but I also enjoyed those earlier sex scenes from because I didn't have a black blotch blocking my view of the action.

Just saying, be a bit more aware of where you're getting the raws from.

    kurootrash July 20, 2020 11:54 am

They blacked out his lightsaber on the last part

    AlexanderValmont July 20, 2020 11:59 am

    I didn't understand your comment.

    please bear with me...
1- Tappytoon always censors the sex, that's just the trade. Why would someone be surprised by it?
2-Your last line?? IS there a place that sells the raws with out censoring?? I thought Tappytoon was the official publisher house

    I'm a native English speaker.

    1. It depends on the type of censorship. There's the type that Tappytoon does, which is cut it out completely and then there is the type where the only thing being censored is the private part itself. So depending on the type, it could come as a disappointment.

    2. Depending on the publisher, if a webtoon comes over to the US it can get uncensored.

Right?? ㅜ-ㅜ I actually read the raws ahead but my korean sucs >.< so i was looking forward to this ( ̄へ ̄)

Actually there are two versions on Tappytoon, one where there is a censored version and one uncensored. The new uploader decided to upload the censored version.
If you go to the website on Tappytoon (after you pay for the chapter) you can see all the smexy scenes that raws have ƪ(˘⌣˘)ʃ

Ya- that button is to confirm whether or not you're 18+ years old and if you are then they will let you read on or off the mature version. It would make no sense for tappytoon to start censoring the chapters after 50+ chapters and if they did it's stupid on their part ┐( ˘_˘)┌

Catalyste July 20, 2020 11:19 am

I dropped it after chapter 11. I just can't deal with Mio's stupidity and the lack of strength it takes to just FUCKING WALK AWAY!

How the heck did the author manage to make 70+ chapters of this trash!?!

See, this is why I stick to BL. Ukes at least put up a fight and leave.

it's really hard trying to find a smutty Josei like Midnight Secretary. That one is still top of the list in terms of a good romance. Too many of these things is just the guy dry humping and fingering the leading lady into submission and then calling it love because he "just can't let her go." Well sir, newsflash, that's what we call blueballs. It'll wear out the moment you fulfill your conquest to have her on the receiving end of your dick.

I also don't like the way a majority of these stories write the women. It's like women are mentally incapable of standing up and just marching out of the room. Instead they can't answer bluntly if their life (or sexual integrity...or even virginity) counted on it. Instead they shrink and say dumb lines like "I want to leave, but the way he touches me feels too good. Oh no!"

Sigh

In terms of this story...well here we go again. And as a bonus, we have a potential unrequited love from Keita as well as the ridiculous amount of pressure her family has placed her under to masquerade as her sister. Dumbest move was to NOT call it off and to let whatever Keita and Miyu have going on happen naturally. Instead we have some proxy attempt to hook her up with her boss.

Remember kiddos, third base =/= love.

^ so true~ Midnight Secretary is still the best and I havent encountered mangas that comes close to Midnight Secretary ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍

Catalyste July 18, 2020 1:28 pm

doesn't mean he has to repeat the same actions of his former life. He could be reacting to what he resolved to do back then and to not repeat those mistakes again. After all, it's not just you living that life again, he is too. You may be ready to die to get away from him, but he's ready to live just to be with you.
