is when a story dances around the age of the MC. So far I've seen comments swear that he's 12 simply because of his looks, but I think he's at least 15 or 16. He looked around 5 or 6 during a flashback where he's taking care of his baby sister by feeding her foraged berries and nuts. The thing is you can gage his age because he intentionally looks like a little boy, but if you pay attention to his actions and his knowledge him being 12 doesn't seem feasible.

yeah he's definitely not 12, i agree. he's most likely around 16, and the flashback scene pretty much cleared that up.

Yeah, not to mention Shian nor the Blue King didn't say he was too young. If Seiji's sister was too young at the age of 10, and it was suggested they wait till she was either 15 or 16 before her ceremony, but no one says anything about Seiji...then I'm assuming Seiji is of the right age and he's just short.

There's also a lot of confusion with some of the dialogue, or the translations need work. I had to delete the Age-Gap tag I made because I realized that in chapter 10, when King Azure was rebranding Seiji, he was actually talking about the Black King being twice Seiji's age as well as Seiji's plan to infiltrate his palace and gain his tincture. It just wasn't clear the first two times I read that scene. I had to use a raw of an upcoming chapter, where we get to see Blue as a kid some 10 years prior, to figure that out.

People who have the power of a Red Divine Monster, which regenerates and heals wounds, will not experience aging.

Like Carmine, the concubine of the Red King (the girl with the red tincture in the previous chapter was hit by Sage). Carmine's appearance looked much younger than Sage's, but in fact she was older than Gules eight to ten years.

Sage also has the power of a Red Divine Monster, though weak, so it is not surprising if he does not experience signs of aging, though not as extreme as Carmine.

Ps: People with the power of the red monster gods, will experience aging if they lose power.

Like Carmine, who lost her strength due to the pregnancy of the red king's baby. Within a few months after giving birth, her body which initially stopped in the appearance of children, grows into the body of an adult woman.

That's a pretty interesting theory. I'm sure you meant the divine beasts. I was kinda confused because you were calling them all Red. I think I get your theory though. You're thinking that perhaps those with the power of one of the divine beasts may also have a youthful appearance until they've grown weak. Since Hoshimi was only 10 when she grew weak and died, her appearance wouldn't have changed.

If Carmine has the power of the Red Beast, then wouldn't her power be more like the ability to regenerate herself and harm others with a touch? I can understand why she would be weakened...giving birth will do that to you.

You mentioned that Sage's power is weak, but I don't think he's weak. He's just awakened his power and it looks pretty strong. The only thing he lacks is proper control over it. I was going to mention how Sage had the power of the Purple Beast, but he also displayed wind powers like the Green Beast, and I'm starting to suspect he might have the power of the Blue Beast too. Heck it just might end up that he has all the divine beast powers if you consider his youthful appearance, voice powers, and wind powers...it's all just a guess though...

(This list is more for me to remember which beast does what and who is closely associated with based on the story):

Black Divine Beast (Horse): Has the ability to take power away from those they touch.

Purple Divine Beast (Hawk): Uses its loud shriek "voice" to control others.

Green Divine Beast (Wolf): Its tornado wind power is seen as a sign for natural disaster.

Blue Divine Beast (Winged Serpent): Reads the mind of the person it sees.

Red Divine Beast (Cycloptic Centaur): Near immortal, it poisons those who touch it.

Yes, what I mean is Divine Beast. I'm sorry, because I'm mixed.

In the side story 'Redder than Blood' (the story of Gules and Carmine), there is discussed about the power of the Red Divine Beast, where the blood of the owner of the power has the function to regenerate and heal the person who drinks it.

Carmine was taken to the red palace, because Gules when the baby was physically weak, was even declared not to live more than a year. Burgundy--Red King's aide, looked for someone with the power of the Red Divine Beast and met Carmine who was eight to ten years old.

I say the power of the Sage's Red Divine Beast is weaker, because Carmine can heal--even she, if I'm not mistaken, can recover the lost body parts without being dependent on Carmine's existence. Examples of Gules who are now completely healthy.

But even though Sage (a very large spolier) can heal--he heals the Blue King who goes blind. The healing properties possessed by Sage are only temporary. Where as long as Sage lives, Blue King can see. Meanwhile, if Sage dies, Blue King will return to blind.

I'm discussing only the Red Divine Beast, because only that power has a real effect on the physical owner--which doesn't age. While the power of Black, Blue, Green, and Purple Divine Beast did not have that effect. Perhaps because the owner of the power of the Red Divine Beast does not age, the power of the Red Divine Beast is called immortality.

Regarding poison, I think it was propagated so that the owner of the power of the Red Divine Beast was not exploited. Considering how Carmine was before going to the Red Palace, I thought that was probably the most suitable.

In addition, I'm not saying that the power of the Divine Beast Sage is weak. More specifically, the strength of the Sage's Red Divine Beast is weak, while for others it isn't. Even so strong that Sage could not control and overload his body.

Moreover he slept with the Blue King.

Regarding the curse mentioned in the story, it can be said to be untrue, but also cannot be said to be wrong. Because when the two kings sleep together, it will strengthen the power of their Divine Beast (as discussed by Sable King, where he slept with the person who had the power of the Divine Beast to awaken the blood of the Divine Beast in him).

And for a Sage who had such great Divine Beast power, it was like a double-edged sword. Because his body cannot accommodate the power of the Divine Beast he possesses.

in Jiwon's mouth, made me laugh!!!

Poor Dong-Gyun. He's incredibly cute and Jiwon can't resist him...but man, he was really desperate to not die! lol

I really enjoyed how cute and into each other they were. It was fun seeing them come together over comedy. That was pretty cool!

needs to leave.

Nowhere in this story does it specify which sort of relation Ayumi is to Kotaro. I personally think he's something like a second or third cousin, but definitely not uncle. The only uncle mentioned in this is the one they attended the funeral for.

    Sabby July 17, 2020 1:08 am

From what I can put together, I'm guessing one of Ayumi's parents is either siblings with, or first cousins with Kotaro's mum. When Kotaro refers to Ayumi as "my relative's brother" I think it's brother in the Japanese way (as in they call male cousins 'brother' even if they aren't actual siblings).

You are totally right in that the uncle tag is inaccurate. If Ayumi was actually Kotaro's uncle, that would make Ayumi's parents Kotaro's grandparents (which was not the case). I mean yes they are still related, but it's not uncle/nephew. the Uncle tag is misleading.

that twist got me.

Good show, author. Good show!

Catalyste July 14, 2020 2:06 am

which is legit and has nice development to it, the two things that make me cringe the most are the title of the series...and boys constantly worrying about their periods.

Just shut up already!!!!

your art may be fine, but your storytelling leaves a lot to be desired. I'm just put off by this story for a number of reasons. As her first Omegaverse story, it was a flop to me. I felt that it started ok, like the typical bl romance story, but I think it started to fall apart when she introduced the brother too early. I had to reread this whole series all over again in order to make sense of where the poor storytelling started. I can see that the author didn't really give Hana and Renjaku a chance to get to know each other before putting an obstacle in their way. Because of that, we didn't really get a feel for how both characters really are and why they are the way they are; Hana, though a virgin character, acts like he has no common sense the moment he's off the job; Renjaku, though raised a rich boy and is a celebrated floral artist, speaks like he's been in a gang as he grew up. These two, as the MCs of the manga, are giving me such oddly disconnected vibes in terms of character build. It's very confusing and I can't back this as a good manga.

this manhwa handing out some delicious looking roundness!

I swear, I've never seen more round butts in any other manga or manhwa ever! This one just has cake on top of cake. Jeez!

Catalyste July 11, 2020 5:29 pm

had a big head after he fell to the ground. It looked really weird! lol

So the boy's real mother died, interesting. Well, that's definitely an incentive towards replacing all concubines and just having your male guest be the new "mother."
