She summons him a demon shows up to stop her, he shows just in time to accidentally save her, her personal knight even after being told by the princess to not attack and even after the misunderstanding is cleared up he's then made to serve even more time? The Prison HM has a higher position than the princess?

So, she kicked the actual good, albeit spartan priest out of her party because of him being male yet she's now willing to put up with it? Honestly she's super irritating with her thought pattern.

Exactly that's what I was thinking?? Ares may not have the best attitude but he didn't try to force anything on anyone just gave them the hard truth about their skills and what they're facing. He wouldn't try to force a sexual relationship if that's what she's worried about, I'd understand if she just hated ALL men in general but she still talks to other men¿¿ Gurl just looks stupid now

Ares treats the hero as a robot, not a person. I understand her distrust in him, especially when she doesn't know the consequences of someone so singleminded in his focus finding her secret. We know he's not a bad guy, but from her point of view, he's dedicated to the mission and might not decide not to report her/kill her off if she's not fit to be the 'hero'.
Ares's dislike of her also shows when he's not actively trying to mask it, so I'm not surprised she doesn't want him hanging around, he's never even tried to bond with the group.
This seems really good but I'm so used to these type of stories that have a promise to make the fl or ml break the promise because of some threat or curse and just get overall depressing and I am hoping this doesn't follow that road.
