i understand how uke's past lover feels. for 5 years he thought his lover was dead, unable to move on he met his current lover who stayed by his side, that person helped him slowly become better. suddenly his past lover (uke) who he thought was dead was just actually in a coma and woke up, his feelings are a mess for both his current and past lover. he still loves his past lover that's why he has these conflicting thoughts which is very unfair to his current lover and although he may love his current lover, it's different from the love he feels for his past lover (uke).
for the current lover of uke's past lover. i understand why he feels so insecure. he knows and feels that his lover is still not done loving somebody else and although he may love him, it's still different. he needs constant reassurance that the one his lover needs and loves is him and not the uke. imagine, your lover has an ex whom he had a relationship for 8 years, won't you feel insecure??
a love that needs constant reassurance sometime tends to be suffocating specially when the other party is insecure while the other one can't move on. communication is what they both need.

i really like love or hate because in some ways i relate to joowon, haesoo and taekyung so i don't dislike any of the characters. haesoo and taekyung not ending up together was for the best, they would've been happy for a while but as their relationship progress they'll feel like the love in their relationship is fading, that it slowly feels being with each other is a chore and that it feels tiring. we also get to see every character grow, they owned up to their own mistakes and making an effort to somewhat correct those mistakes they've made in their lives, and they all seem happy with the life that they're living.
wow that's a really great magic trick!
