been reading the novel and it's just so good. carynne is so unapologetically unhinged and when reading her thoughts you'd think that it really all makes sense and everything's fine and logical in her perspective, but then when you pause and think about it a little more, you'd realize that no, that's not quite morally correct. i love the adaptation and how the art style looks so traditionally shoujo despite its extremely dark undertones. edit; I think I'm going to stick with the novel. the transition is so horrible.

I honestly feel like the author is trying hard to make this manhwa sound like those cool villainess ones, but is failing miserably. I'm dropping this one, I can't seem to get into it.

the beginning was cute but the development feels super slow. like we're not getting anywhere. the male lead's personality is also super dry. aloof guys can be cute but this guy literally has nothing else going for him other than his face, which i guess is what the title suggests so whatever. this makes me prefer the second lead more since he actually has some sort of a personality. i hope he doesn't disappear after the main couple get together because that would be shame. I also hate when male leads get possessive of the female lead when they ain't even a couple. I mean, bro got jealous on the CHAPTER 3. It's the 3rd chapter calm tf down. the title was also a lie. because it did, in fact, didn't take more than a pretty face to fall in love. I'm not a fan of straight modern romance in general so I don't know why I read this.

despite the fact this manga has amazing art and decent plot, it's just weird. nazuna is an adult vampire, and you can tell from hints like the fact that she legally does drink beer and she owned one of those blocky cellphones before the flatter ones came out. ko is a child, he states that he is 14, and he goes to middle school. and they're supposed to fall in love; and even go as far as to have "sex". now, to be fair, "sex" in this manga, or at least what they do as a vampire and a human, is just nazuna sucking ko's blood. but its emphasized how that's purely an intimate and physical experience. the target audience for this anime is also clearly targeted towards the male gaze. the women in this manga are sexualized and objectified a lot, with flattering shots of akira's thighs, and a bunch of sexual imagery of nazuna. It just enhances a never-ending problem with the animanga industry. I've seen so many people hyping this up, but it's just uncomfortable to read.

first of all, the art is amazing and maxi, the MC, is adorable. she has a disability, something you'd never see in a manhwa, so I was very much looking foward to see her growth but unfortunately the ML just sucks. he's hot but thats pretty much all he has going on for him. communication apparently aint a thing in this guys book so much he pretty much forced himself on maxi in the very first few chapters and those who say otherwise are blind as fuck. that alone lowered my score and should explain why I dropped it. recently I went back to read it and see if anything changed, cause yes I like to get brain damage from seeing shit I detest aaaaand surprise surprise I made it up upto chapter 42 and the ML still behaves like a cavetroll towards a mentally and physicaly abused young girl and still treats maxi as a damn meat back for him to stick his dick in, under the excuse he just "can't control himself" 'cause "he loves her too much" (not that ever told her that btw) so whenever I see someome calling this shitbag a "himbo who's hopelessly in love with his wife" I get the urge to shove my head into a blender. maxi's growth is going great specially during the time ML goes off to fight wars. I sincerely hope he never comes back <3 I find maxi to be one of the most realistic fls out there due to the way she reacts, copes and takes a long time to heal. the comments saying maxi needs to hurry up and "build confidence" or "heal" are so stupid. she's been mentally and physically abused since she was a child, she can't just "get over her trauma" smh.

the story is above average, but I'm doubtful as to whether I'll keep reading it if the story doesn't pick up. 30 chapters, and there hasn't been a solid hook yet to pull you in and get you invested, and if it doesn't come soon and the content per chapter stays low I'll probably drop this. edit: alr I'm dropping it. I read a novel spoiler that this is taking the harem route and even his cousin is in his harem. I wasn't a big fan of this anyways.

this is an interesting take on the female lead transmigration genre. I really like the dynamic between the two leads, and how they're getting better at working together as partners in crime, and not just falling for each other unrealistically. however, I hate how this manhwa potrays every woman besides the female lead as some stuck up asshole. sure you can have many annoying female characters but atleast have one female character that's genuinely nice. It's almost as if the author doesn't realise other women can also have a proper personality with understandable background reasoning to why they behave that way without assuming it's "all for the Duke!!". It's so depressing to see women fight each other for someone's attention. especially when it's for a man. comedy part is cheap, stupid and some behaviors of her are not accurate, heavily played and give her an irritating side. thats exactly things the northern duke hates and he seems to accept these behaviors easily(tbh I don't blame him, selena is really beautiful), story isn't that bad but I'm dropping it.

this is bad. not terrible, just bad. the main character plays the weakling role in an entertaining way. I also enjoy his much darker psycho side. the art is good, the setting is unique enough, I guess. I don't know I think ima have to drop this. shit had me snoring.

over the top, but alright for filling up time, this manhwa has nothing to offet but extreme situations. mc is so pathetic, I can't take him seriously

the only reason why this story should have a high rating is because of the art. the art is phenomenal and top tier - honestly one of the best I've seen yet it's been wasted on such a terrible plot. artists need to wasting their beautiful art on shit stories fr. the characters are not well outlined - this is especially clear in the case of kayena; it becomes very unclear in explanation as to what happened in her past life(s) and she seems to flip-flop around on her ambitions.  the relationship between kayena and rezef is rather undetermined - I get that rezef is supposed to be this crazy lunatic but how he acts seems even inconsistent to him. also, the very large incestual hints make me very uncomfortable.  moving on, the relationship between kayena and raffaelo is also quite poorly written. It is very very unlikely that a person would change their mind and fall in love with the person who has been harassing them for years - not to mention, it happens extremely fast. however, I may give it a pass since he did have a very complicated homelife and upbringing that may result in him forming attachments very quickly and the kayena he knew and the kayena now are completely different people. the characters are bland as hell and the story is plain boring. MC is boring. ML is even more boring. I hate how he acts all posessive and jealous. his brain has nothing but the MC. once you look past the pretty exterior and see the story for what it truly is, you won't like it anymore. this is honestly the exact same case with 'when the the villainess loves', beautiful art gave it its high rating despite having the blandest story and romance.
