whoaaa, this shit is reaaally fucking dark and twisted, my dude. it’s really growing on me! just awaiting updates now. i never know what to expect from this one, haha. how exciting. ;) edit: soooo… apparently it’s already over? like, super abruptly??? i’ll be honest, this was a major letdown. i expected more from this. it started out pretty good, but then suddenly random things started happening and the arcs in general just… whizzled out. kinda weird. even the ending didn’t feel like an ending. they could’ve EASILY made at least over 80 chapters, explaining things properly and creating some sense of buildup… but alas, there was none of that. just characters and events thrown in there that didn’t really do the objective ‘premise’ of this manhwa justice. i really thought we were just starting out, lol. seriously, what WAS that ending?! i could barely understand what was going on during those last 12-15 chapters or whatever. still, i kept reading because i expected there’d be a reasonable outcome, or at least a somewhat decent ‘explanation’ as to why and how everything happened the way they did… but, like i’ve already said, there was none. well, this is frustrating… lol. the reason i’m so annoyed is mostly because i felt there was a sense of uniqueness and originality to these characters—our psychopathic MC in particular, but not even his character development made any sense. so freakin’ annoying, god!!!

this is actually a lot better than i thought it’d be. honestly, so many things have changed since the first chapter that it doesn’t even feel like the same story anymore, lol. not that it’s a bad thing! it’s a pleasant change if you ask me. it’s just something i noticed! i probably would’ve given this manhua a 4/5 star rating if the translations hadn’t dropped in quality roughly 100 chapters in. it’s quite a shame, really… but still, the story’s enjoyable nonetheless! but definitely not as much as before, i’ll say that much. anyway!!! you definitely gotta appreciate the character development here. so many changes, bro… most of them good, though. because of that, i have noooo idea whatsoever about how things’ll end up for these guys. sheesh… i just hope the ending will make sense. (honestly, i don’t expect much.) but hey, at least this is fun. ;) edit: oh, and i forgot to mention that i’m consequently reading the original light novel while awaiting updates. it’s RIDICULOUSLY long, but it’s kinda fun. #yolo

this story is incredible. the pacing is outstanding and the story itself it so well-written and perfectly visualized… zephyr is ridiculously attractive, too—and overall appealing—as an MC. i love his tenacity and intelligence! he’s such a boss and it shows. this is one of the better comics i’ve come across thus far… and i’ve read a lot of ‘em in my day. this is quality content, for sure. i’m so weak for a proper power trip, sheesh. aaand, in my humble opinion, this author deserves way more recognition. excellent storytelling. so, so good! (i expect i’ll need a cold shower after tonight. fucking hell.)

well, this one’s been interesting!!! it’s been so long since i actually read this frequently… but the last chapter was suddenly released out of nowhere, so i guess it’s time to wrap things up. i don’t really know what more to say, honestly… just know that i’m pleased with the overall outcome! i’m happy they’re happy; even though the road to get there was pretty damn rough. even though the general atmosphere was somewhat grim and depressing, the characters themselves felt unique… and surprisingly funny at times. ugh, they’ve grown so much!!! i just hope that they’ll be able to find solace in each other in the future as well.

lmaooo, this duuude. i forgot just how trashy this commander was, sheesh. (that’s why i stopped reading this the first time around, i suppose.) however!!! i kinda like our MC, though… don’t really know why yet. all i know is that i sympathize with him and all i want for this story is for him to end up happy. edit: maybe all the manhua i’ve been reading lately has desensitized me to emotional toxicity and unhealthy relationships, but this isn’t NEARLY as horrible as i originally thought i’d be. i hope said sentiment lasts! edit #2: ahhhh, shieeet. CAN THIS COMMANDER MOTHERFUCKER JUST STOP MAKING ASSUMPTIONS ABOUT EVERYTHING AND SIMPLY _ASK_ HIM ACTUAL QUESTIONS?!?! all this shit is so fucking unnecessary!!! ughhh. edit #3: whoaaa… this is pretty dark, lol. i’m finally fully caught up! can’t believe i’m actually saying this, but i’m definitely on team emperor now. (or commander, whichever title suits him best.) i love how yu isn’t taking any of his shit anymore. the character development has been gradual, but realistic given the circumstances! i really do appreciate that fact. and the art has really improved as well! heh. i’ll be looking forward to reading more of this! edit #4: honestly, at this point, i’m just astounded by the fact that our ML has managed to completely win me over. this is really… quite fascinating, if i’m allowed to give it to you straight. i’m loving the direction this story is heading towards! it’s gotten to a point where i actually await and anticipate new chapters. yay!!! #5: it’s been, like, almost a year since i last made a comment about this, but now that the story’s been completed, i feel it’s time. honestly, i HAVE been enjoying myself. not as much as i could’ve, given the fact that the quality of the translations started to seriously deteriorate riiiight about after i made my last comment… so there’s that. i don’t really know what else there is for me to say. if i weren’t already invested in the story and its characters, i never would’ve finished it with how poor the execution of the translation has been for a good while now. hmmm. oh well, lol. it is what it is! i’ll probably reread the last 50-60 chapters if there’s ever an opportunity for me to read said chapters ‘properly’, if you will. that’d be nice! and things would probably make a lot more sense for me then as well. :)
