ohhh, this shit is dark!!! i’m loving it, lol. and i especially love the gothic, harry potterish vibes. edit: i don’t know why i felt the need to make such a shallow, ridiculously ‘mundane’ comment before, to be completely frank with you. because honestly, this one deserves so much more than just a couple of nice words. it’s literally SO. FUCKING. EXQUISITE. one of the most creative manhwas i’ve ever come across, i think… and that should say a lot; knowing that all i ever do is read comics on the daily, heh. it has this… dark maturity to it that simply isn’t something you come across every day. not only is this beautifully complex and so fucking well-written, the art is out-of-this-world GORGEOUS. so much depth, so much creativity… i can’t stress this enough. and i CANNOT believe that it hasn’t received much more praise… and recognition. it’s mind-boggling to me. so, whoever happens to see this, THIS ONE IS A MUST-READ!!! it’s next level originality, my god. intricate and emotional and unique and ughhh. fucking hell. this is ART.

man, what a savage. this is amazingly entertaining and power-trippy—just what i was looking for. <33 it’s like a combo of solo leveling and overgeard and i’m absolutely LIVING for it. man, this dude is slayingggg. ugh, i’m so fucking tired right now. this ‘review’ is just embarrassingly hollow and anticlimactic. i’ll be writing something more… ‘thorough’, at some point down the line. once my energy’s peaked, i believe it’s fair to say!!! might take me awhile if i know myself correctly, but hopefully it won’t be TOO long; i’d be a shame to forgot about this feeling i’m experiencing right now. such a serotonin-high, truly. hopefully, i won’t! anyway, it was 100% worth staying up past 3 AM to binge this thing, at least i can tell you that much. i loooove these characters... asura’s such a fitting alias for our badass MC, it’s perfect. side note: libeus is definitely one of my favorite characters thus far, lololol! he’s so goddamn entertaining. can’t wait to see what’s in store for these guys! it’ll be epic either way, that much is already obvious enough by now.

not gonna lie, this is a lot better than i expected it to be. just the art itself is nearly freakin’ flawless! i’m absolutely LIVING for these ‘solo leveling’ vibes, too. i mean, although the stories are completely different in their own unique ways, they’re still similar in many others. (quite paradoxical, i know.) either way, i’m also really appreciative of this realistic-but-not-so-realistic, gradual progression of his abilities. everything he’s gained thus far has been accomplished through his own merits! powers weren’t simply ‘bestowed’ upon him randomly or carelessly; instead he’s earned them through good strategy, diligence and hard work. much, MUCH appreciated!!! (man, i simply adore this trope.) don’t get me wrong, though—his team’s pretty damn great, too! i just enjoy the general dynamics around here. can’t wait to see just how powerful he’ll eventually become! i’m genuinely excited for this. ugh, i’m fucking WEAK. #simp

whoaaa, is one’s… pretty damn spectacular, my guy!!! and it’s hilariously funny, too. man, don’t even get me started… they’ve got me wheezing like a pig on steroids a lot of the time, i’m not even kidding. this gorgeousness definitely deserves a place in my top ten, no doubt! i honestly didn’t expect to enjoy it this much (i’ve been saying that a lot lately), but i’m more than pleased—and excited—by such a lovely turn of events! ugh, i’m so obsessed with this story and these goddamn lovable characters. it literally has EVERYTHING i’d ever need in a story. like humor and chemistry and power dynamics and clichés… including the sweetest, most innocent romance possible—with my new two favorite main characters at the center to keep the amazing chemistry flowing! and if that’s not all, yunjo’s constantly exuding big daddy energy in freakin’ WAVES, bro. it’s so fucking attractive i could cry. and i simply adore our power-lady yun, too!!! she’s so relatable and funny and strong and smart and ughhh, i just love her to pieces. they’re perfect together! such a power-couple, goddammit. and hey, let’s not forget about the overall amazing storytelling, emotional depth, outstanding narration and this freakin’ ethereal-looking art which blesses our eyes continuously!!! such high-quality content, seriously. i’m soooo happy i decided to binge this tonight, you guys have no idea. now i can die happy. <3 edit: so… it’s over now. :( it’s a bittersweet feeling. i’m glad they didn’t drag it out and kept the progression steady ‘til the end, but i’m going to miss these guys. overall, this has been such a wonderful journey! don’t really know what else to say at this point, but know that it’s definitely worth the read.

man, how epic is this?! remind me again why i put this off for so long??? oh, wait, that’s right… not enough chapters to spend the whole day binging; that was it. oh well, lol. in any case, it’s probably one of the best martial arts comics i’ve come across. goddammit, i’ve grown attached to this family in such a short amount of time, too… ahhhh, i’m so excited to continue!!! this guy’s seriously OP. like, massively so. ‘return of the war god’, it says… ‘war god’ my ass, lol. he clearly left that semi-unhinged persona of his back with his old immortal pals from a millennia ago. i mean, i absolutely realize he remains same person with the same exact abilities and everything, but from the small bits and pieces of his past that we’ve gotten to see thus far, he almost feels like a whole different individual. aaaand, as much as i adore the whole monstrous-god-like-fighter-striving-for-vengeance trope, i really do appreciate this new happiness-seeking-family-oriented-living-in-the-moment version of the greatest warrior of all time. just… HOLY. FUCKING. SHIT, bro. he’s great and cool and sweet with his precious ones and i’m so in love with this guy!!! (and his fam, lol.) also, i know i’ve said similar things plenty of times before, but this is one of the most wholesome, effortlessly power-trippy martial arts manhwas i’ve read, i think… which says a whole damn lot, given the amount of these comics i’ve read these past 18 months. duan yuxian is next level martial EXCELLENCE, though—i kid you the fuck not. such an an admirable character. this current version of him, i mean… he really changed through those 1000 years of being sealed down at the bottom of that lake. and with the war god’s old reputation versus duan yuxian’s current one in mind, i’m quite excited for the day when people’ll finally realize his true identity. (the buildup is MURDERING me, man.) modern-day version of the war god’s definitely misunderstood, lol. (not that he’s doing anything to alter that reputation, but anywayyyy.) i’m low-key crushing on ANOTHER overpowered fictional character now, fml. it feels like i’m starting to get a bit repetitive now, oof. either way, this is 100% a new favorite! no question mark in sight, that’s for sure. <33

GOOD!!! very well-written. definitely a new favorite! i’m seriously struggling to put down my phone and go to sleep. it’s way too enthralling for that!!! goddammit. anyway. this MC of ours is so freakin’ lovable, too! imagine being, like, the scariest, most capable warrior in the world… and all you want to do is help other people and just be ‘normal’, as he so graciously puts it. jang kirin is a truly amazing guy. i’d marry him in a heartbeat if given the opportunity. such loyalty, care and authenticity is quite rare to come by… i adore this ‘family’ he’s slowly building for himself, too! jang kirin deserves the world. i hope he one day receives it. <33
