THIS. IS. SO. GANGSTER!!! i mean, whoa. what a glorious massacre this turned out to be. i honestly didn’t think i’d stick around this long... i struggled to make sense of the plot initially, and it took a good while for things to turn interesting, but those notions are all in the past now! man, what an immense power-trip. just constant fighting, basically. since the development started out kinda… slow (?), i couldn’t quite figure out the characters and their affiliations until i’d finished, what, a good 60-70 chapters? either way, now that things are finally making sense, i’m truly immersed. i love the political aspects, too! can’t believe our escort warrior was actually once the alliance leader, lol. (albeit it was only for a day or so, but still.) i mean, i knew he had a powerful position with a lot of influence, but i never would’ve imagined anything like that. that revelation made my whole goddamn week!!! man, that smug look of satisfaction on our OP MC’s face once he knew that ‘the enemy’ had realized his identity. i actually screamed out loud. ugh, so good. i’m just happy and relieved that i didn’t put this off!!! things are only getting better and better now. and hey, we’re FINALLY geeing some character development for our gwang hwi, too! this guy has literally been through HELL. if anyone out there deserves a break, it’s this guy. i mean, i do understand his self-loathing, guilt and regrets given the things he’s done… but he also needed to realize that he can’t save everyone. he’s not god. (even though he’s basically a war god, sheesh.) either way, i’m just glad that he’s finally starting to see that himself. it’s taken him a long time, but all good things come in time! seeing him actively working on himself (not just his abilities, but his perspectives, too) makes my whole heart soar, truly. gwang hwi deserves the world. all he wants is to do good. to BE good! i and know he’s already there. i can’t wait for the day when he finally realizes that he’s not the monster he believes himself be. <3 i’m excited!

oh, wow… ‘power elite’ might actually be an understatement for this guy, sheeeesh. in any case, i’m absolutely loving it! this particular MC of ours, ma hyeon, is surprisingly likable as a person. genuine & authentic, humble & intelligent, honest & good-hearted… just overall incredibly admirable, really! i really do appreciate his character. i want him to be and feel at peace—whatever that might indicate for him and those closest to him. he’s an amazing guy, that’s for sure, and so the rest of that family of his! (his students and close friends are included there, obviously.) i love seeing the unconditional loyalty, all these emotional connections, as well as the faith he has in his students. what a hidden gem, goddammit. honestly though, my ONLY complaint… is the fact that the art-style started to change around chapter 35-40 or something if the like. (i can’t even remember when anymore, oof.) personally, i most definitely prefer the original style! i feel it was a lot more expressive in comparison to these new ones... (and yes, the art has unfortunately been ‘altered’ multiple times by now.) honestly, i still have hope that things'll slowly start to morph back into their original states at some point, but i won’t hold my breath, haha! for now, i’ll continue to advance on this fictional journey nonetheless. he’s truly so fucking OP, though, seriously!!! it’s borderline insane, gaaaawd. this manhwa’s great, and i’m really looking forward to see what else might be in store for the future! edit: i take it back. this new artistry rules!!! i’m loving it. surprisingly, it fits the story very well! to be honest, i still miss the original artist(s) and their art, not gonna lie… but this isn’t bad, either. it’s really not. i’m actually starting to grow semi-excited again! heh.

i can’t believe i actually started reading a story with only one chapter published. oh, man… this is simply too enticing to be overlooked. <33 edit: this are still excellent, and the art is top-notch… but man, i feel so bad for idris. ugh, i love him. he deserves better. these rape scenes are fucking HORRID. someone, just butcher this piece of trash crown prince already!!! ugh, barf. on another note… i respect him soooo fucking much. his character, too! truly. and then there’s our other baby, too… ;_; i truly do hope that they end up together somehow. they’d be perfect for each other… i’m just terrified of the process of getting there. things will definitely get worse before they get better… IF they get better. :( edit #2: this disgusts me. i truly believed i’d been rather desensitized by manhwa at this point, but this right here takes the fucking cake. i thought i’d seen it all… this crown prince is probably their world’s worst fucking person of all time, i kid you the fuck NOT. disgusting piece of shit… what a monster. our boys deserve so much BETTER than this!!! ugh, i’m upset. and i feel so disgusted by how turned out i was initially. i’m deplorable.

ooooh, another glorious historical martial arts manhwa to add to my list of endless martial arts manhwas. <33 i’m so here for the action!!! i absolutely love the art, too. initially, i wouldn't really have said that i was all that enthralled by the story in general, nor its characters… but that opinion kinda did a complete 180 for me soon enough, i’m not gonna lie. i actually think it’s pretty damn great! and honestly speaking, it just keeps getting better and better at this point. museong (or ‘jihyuk’, if you will) is such a badass bitch, omfg. love his character, ughhh. wow, what a guy. i’m just so exciteeeed for the futuuure of historical martial arts manhwaaaa in generaaaal!!! #hyped

damn, i binged this one too fast. :’) i actually wasn’t that big of a fan of this manhwa initially, but i changed my mind after a while. now i’m just excited to read more, lol! i’m eagerly awaiting a reunion for our teacher and his disciple. <33 the more i read, the more entranced i become!
