Wet Sand
A story about gang violence, healing and slowly putting yourself first. This is such an interesting story, but I think many people are focusing too much on the love triangle, rather than paying attention to how Ian goes from hating his life to gradually making choices that put himself and his happiness first. This story depicts complex relationship and complicated pasts so well, and I can't wait to see where the plot is headed.
Jiwoo's Master | Jealov
This story is BDSM-centered and everything that I usually don't read. Something about the cover caught my attention and it is surprisingly captivating. The majority of the plot consists of smut, but there are some backstories that are slowly developing. However, there are mental health issues being portrayed in this, so huge trigger warning for self-harm.
Ao no Flag
Such a beautiful story about love and friendship. It focuses on the complex relationship between friends and how feelings may develop as a result of said relationship. This manga is really a story that is "coming of age", and such an important piece that everyone should read. It focuses on the differences between people, but also highlights that differences and change aren't bad. Those things makes us who we are. I really enjoyed this a lot, and would recommend to anyone.
Guilty Affection
This story has a very interesting concept--the espers and guides--and was really intriguing. The element of suspense is everything, and I really like how the story and the plot slowly comes together. As a reader, you get everything revealed alongside the MC, which I personally enjoyed. However, while it explores important themes--oppression, dehumanisation and codependency--the ending was abrupt and rushed. I don't think it's actually finished.
Taming the Tiger
This story is so beautiful and everything I could ever wish for. The building of the characters' relationship is done in such stunning way. The writing is absolutely majestic, especially with all the season/flower symbolism. The ending and the side story broke me into a million pieces, but that doesn't make this any less perfect. Their love is so tender and warm--a love everyone should strive to have. Beautiful.
The Hounds of Sisyphus
Dead people on the move, creating chaos and instability. A story with beautiful art and an interesting plot. Guwon is the cutest and most unpredictable character ever. I'm enjoying this very much so far, and I can't wait to see where this story is going. Waiting for updates.
Shinsujeon
This is a such a wonderful story with historic and supernatural elements that get explored really well. The plot is interesting with no unnecessary misunderstandings or conflict, and the characters each have their own likeable traits. I adore the main couple and how heathy their dynamic is. The side couple really grew on me as I read the story, and I really want the best for them.
Swapping
I dropped this story half-way through. The plot seemed interesting and well-planned from the beginning. but I couldn't find the spark to continue. The story also seemed very information-heavy and I just got tired of all the excess info. I know it's important, but it was annoying. The MC was also not my cup of tea. When he finally got close to a big breakthrough, something would mess it up, and he essentially had to start over.
I Adore you, Teacher
A quick story with a focus on a teacher-student affair. The plot is lacking a lot of things and it isn't really my taste, but there's an element of bdsm that makes the smut very good. The art is absolutely stunning and it is also the best part of this story.
The best luck of my life
