Painter of the Night(Yahwacheop)
After having read the full story, I must say that this is a masterpiece. The story shows elements of historical accuracy, but also yearning, longing and desperation. This is a slow burn that is constructed beautifully with interesting plotlines that all keep the readers engaged, and has flawed characters that get their redemption and development respectively. I can't recommend it enough.
Under the Green Light
This story has a special place in my heart. It deals with overcoming addiction and choosing the better and right path for yourself. The readers get an insight to the characters' past and how that ties into the people they have become, but also how that functions as a catalyst towards change and wanting a better life. Very beautiful.
Escape From The Night
I rarely read oneshots, but this convinced me to read more. This is a realistic view on escapism, and I really like Hugo for being so open and honest about his love for Haru.
Thirst
This is story is so good. The plot is interesting and it really keeps the readers intrigued. I will say the ending seemed rushed to me, but I desperately want more of the characters and the plot itself. I didn't think I would enjoy this as much as I did, but I definitely recommend.
Uzumaki
This manga is insane. Itou Junji's talent to take a simple thing or concept, and then turn it into something horrifying and downright disturbing is amazing. The art style is so much more detailed than I expected. Truly a unique reading experience!
Surprise!
I'm actually lost for words, but I can say with certainty that the plot will be interesting. I'm looking forward to the next chapter. The last panel is stuck in my head, and I can't stop thinking about it. Wow... However, because it's not being updated, and hasn't been for a long time, I'll drop it for now.
Svaha: The Sixth Finger
From the very beginning, the plot seems interesting, and I'll definitely be waiting for updates. I've taken a liking to the "twisted" views on religion that this story (hopefully) focuses more on. But I've come back to this after a couple of months, and can't get back into it, so for now, I won't finish it.
Killer Dream
This one shot manages to catch the readers attention instantly. The plot was really interesting, and I wish it was longer. Having man show up in your dreams, who kills your friends and family, is really disturbing, but what makes it worse is that the victims are dead in real life too. There are refecerences/actual suicides happening, so proceed with caution.
Your wish is my command
You go into expecting one thing, which turns out to be completely off the mark. This was so weird, and I'm not exaggerating. I couldn't take the plot or concept seriously at first, but I was so intrigued that I had to keep reading. This manwha has great plot twists, and great representation of codependency and possessiveness. It explores so many interesting topics of happiness and greed, and it was truly a unique eperience getting to read this without knowing anything at all. The ending had me staring at the wall for a while.
