FL selects the future 2nd Sword “ice knight” Hurelbad as her guard instead. - Ren Bastache, cousin to FL who blackmailed her last time when he found out she was fake. He visits FL just before the start of the banquet where she’s reintroduced into society. She successfully fools him this time. - By making a deal w/ Madame de Flanrose to keep her affair a secret, FL obtains a new maid May (fallen nobility, seeks revenge against Grand Duke) who goes with FL and evil maid Anne to the academy. - Frontier Academy: FL seeks out Lucia, an archaeology student to cure her of Northern Fever that she’d died from before. In return FL will use her name at the Academy. - Disguised as Lucia, FL finds Raphael in the night markets but is disappointed in the portrait he paints. He is responsible for the Renaissance in 3yrs time with his art style. When she was Queen, he was FL’s teacher. She visits him again and he asks her to look at his paintings and give her opinion. - While visiting the painter, FL is surprised to meet the future Empress Cecilia and then shocked to meet the Crown Prince (future Emperor). He hated FL as the Queen in the future. - Claudius de Cyan, Crown Prince: FL’s marriage to him was part of a plot by the Grand Duke against the Emperor. - The Grand Duke also poisoned Empress Cecilia (tbc) - While avoiding Claudius, FL (as Lucia) comes across her cousin Ren who gives his coat to her when it rains. - Working from a list by FL, May is secretly helping several talented people out of strife. These future culture influencers are the social capital needed by “L”. - FL paints for Raphael a memory of her son Ian whom she had with Claudius. At the time Claudius was focused on securing power and authority, so their marriage was a very unhappy one. - FL arranged an art dealer Calipha (a senior at the Academy) to help continue spending the wealth of the Grand Duke. - Claudius compliments FL on her painting. He also likes the tea she makes when he visits the art studio to see her. He walks her to the library where Ren interrupts them. Ren has been investigating Lucia at the academy but she’s like a ghost. His curiosity is piqued. - FL suggests Calipha become an art manager / broker (a new occupation at the time) and introduces Randell the architect to him. - Ren tries to expose FL (as Lucia) is a fake. Lucia’s father is Emilio, head of the merchant guild Castol. Emilio helps FL with confirming her as the ‘real Lucia.’ - Emilio tries to give FL a gift of the capital branch of the guild and its income but she declines. She prefers to have Emilio by her side instead and introduces him to Calipha. - FL wants to open a salon that fosters the arts and culture in society. She also wants to purchase land in the slum area of the city before a property boom happens. - Claudius looks for FL and invites her and Calipha to dinner at his residence.

Ch 34 as of 29/08/21 - slow plot, nice art - FL is Maximillian (Maxi) Croix, oldest daughter of a Duke. - Her more favoured younger sister Rosetta is pretty and smart. - FL suffered constant mental and physical abuse at the hands of her father. She was also neglected and mistreated by the household in all manner of things, ie social events and outings, good food, fine clothing, basic care. She has a bad stutter, very low self esteem, insecurity, and constant self doubt. (Annoyingly helpless and useless, keeps fainting. I’m trying to be patient) - ML is Riftan Calypse, a commoner knight who was away for 3yrs on a dragon expedition that was forced on him by Duke Croix. ML unexpectedly returned victorious. He has his own fief, Anatol which he built up from a monster-infested wasteland using his own funds including the castle walls. - ML won a swordsmanship competition at 14yo and was given the powerful magic sword he still carries today … (Don’t know why but) he seems genuinely attracted to FL. He has trouble expressing himself without coming across as scary. (He gets horny a lot!) Dragon expedition party: - Princess Agnes, reputable mage. ML was falsely rumoured to be romantically involved with her. - ML takes FL from the Croix estate to his castle in Anatol. - He thinks she’s used to a lavish lifestyle when the opposite is the case but FL doesn’t tell him about this. She’s worried he’ll be disappointed in her and tell her to leave or throw her away. - She becomes overwhelmed by the warmth and kindness shown to her by ML and the people at the castle. NB: the knights still show contempt for FL because of her father. - FL is told by ML that she may decorate the castle as she sees fit. She tours the castle with the butler. It's very dreary and neglected in most areas unrelated to training and defense. - FL wants to become a good Lady of the House that is suitable for ML in the hope that he’ll keep her by his side. - She struggles to deal with Aderon the merchant and to understand the accounting books for the castle. - ML and most of the Remdragon knights leave for the capital to attend the victory celebration for their successful dragon expedition. - Ruth the mage remains behind to help guard the castle. He gives private lessons to FL after he sees her mistake-riddled account ledgers and her overblown budget for the castle renovations. - Ruth offers to bring the large dead oak tree in the castle grounds back to life as part of FL’s garden plans. The locals hold trees sacred, dead or alive, due to their strong belief in the legend of Sir Wigrem, an ancient hero and his lover, the nymph of the oak tree. (NB: ML is considered to be the reincarnation of Sir Wigrem.) - After Ruth casts a spell that infuses the oak tree with mana, he tells FL that she seems to have mana affinity. - Ruth explains the different currencies in use to FL. He mentions the dispute 30yrs ago between Duke Croix (of the Wedon Kingdom) and the Dristan Kingdom who demanded he return a fief he’d stolen. The Duke had a political marriage with FL’s mother, a direct descendent of the fallen royal family that previously owned that land, to settle the dispute and secure his claim. - The castle renovations are soon to be completed. FL inspects different parts of the castle to check for any supply requests for winter. She is met by 2 squires who insist on escorting her. - A group of knights led by a Livdonian noble demand entry to the castle despite having no official ID. When FL denies them entry, the leader ridicules her stuttering speech. The noble’s knight group attacks but ML and the Remdragon knights return just in time. - The group surrenders and are imprisoned after Ruth convinces ML not to kill them all or go to war. - ML is very angry and upset with worry that FL was put in danger. FL is afraid he is going to berate and abuse her. Instead he is very passionate and relieved that he’d pushed to come back in record time. ML brought back a large number of gifts for FL. She feels like a fraud when he treats her like a princess. - With her literacy and numeracy skills, FL helps Ruth with the design of a new protective magic device ordered by ML. - The couple go on a horse ride together and talk about each other’s likes, dislikes etc. FL says she hates herself. She was scared of ML at first as he seemed callous and angry, but she isn’t any longer.

The trinity that equally lead Arcus are: - Left court mage: in charge of diplomacy and the economy. - Right court mage: in charge of administration. - Archmage: possesses the most mana and magic power. - FL is reborn as Princess Enisha the Third Star, the 3rd child of the Hyperion imperial family. It is the first time in hundreds of years for a 3rd imperial child to be born. There is a legendary prophecy: “When the 3rd star of Hyperion rises, the Empire shall be blessed with unending honour and glory.” - FL goes on the charm offensive as a baby. She wins the hearts of her father Rodgo and her twin brothers Helrad and Rosiel. - FL had 2 x assassination attempts, each time saved by the twins. - Empress Emelita died after FL was born. - Rodgo’s mother also died after he was born. - FL’s 1st bday is deemed a national celebration. - She is officially revealed to the public after being hidden since her birth. There's a magic attack but the barrier stops it and the twins capture then kill the assassins. - Noxita is the right court mage and senior representative from Arcus. He attends the celebration to check the new mana source that was detected coming from the palace to confirm if it’s FL as the archmage. Arcus mages have been looking for FL the archmage ever since she disappeared. Noxita announces Arcus will officially cooperate more often with the Empire as their gift for FL’s bday. - FL is concerned a war could erupt with Hyperion if Arcus discover she’s the archmage reborn as Enisha. - Later Noxita visits FL in her bedroom after casting a sleep spell on everyone. He is surprised to see she’s unaffected. He says he will see her again soon then disappears. - Countess Rutzfelt is a popular teacher because of her outstanding qualifications and her strict policy of only accepting students who meet her standards. She is summoned by Rodgo to be in charge of FL’s education. She soon declares that FL is a genius. - Rodgo and Helrad go to war for a year to ensure no one else dares to make an attempt on the life of FL. The captured territories are also gifts for FL. When they return, FL is 2yo. She pretends to forget who they are. - Dell Harlin the head imperial mage is summoned by Rodgo to restore FL’s memories. Dell detects the powerful mana trapped inside FL. She casts time stop magic which is an advanced spell to prevent him from revealing more. FL coughs up blood and faints. She had internal damage from depleting her mana with that spell. - After FL recovers, she insists on learning magic to protect her family and Dell swears the 1st vow to her. - The 3 vows are an ancient tradition. Those in power may pledge to put themselves on the line. The 1st vow is putting your powers at stake, the 2nd vow is your heart, and the 3rd vow is your soul. - Dell confirms with FL that she is the Arcus archmage. He promises to do all he can to help and protect her. - Prince Cahil of Zadkar, a northern country near the Snowy Mountains. He was sent to Hyperion as a hostage after he failed to claim the Zadkar throne. He pretends to be clumsier and duller than he really is. He inherited the power from the elemental spirit of snow and ice who made a contract with the 1st Zadkar king. - Cahil keeps it a secret about his spirit power. - FL met Cahil for the first time at her 1st bday when he gave her a rare white wolf fur. FL is outside for a picnic and comes across Cahil. She gives him a jewelled brooch and tells him to run away. One night after FL fainted from mana depletion, Cahil uses his spirit power to visit FL in a dream and she tells him not to cry. - Cahil’s father is the Zadkar King. - The Queen was Cahil’s mother who died after giving birth to him. - After Cahil’s father died (he’s still alive?), Kartina the King’s concubine / mistress seized control of the throne for her son Axion. She constantly abused Cahil, including locking him inside a closet. He was told to live like a ghost. Everything was taken from him. - FL is now 3yo and is given the former Empress’ palace as a gift. She starts her magic lessons with Dell (she is teaching him). - FL is the first Hyperion to have a talent for magic. - Arcus mages meet FL to offer their help with her magic studies (and they also want to study her). She declines their guidance, declaring herself a genius. - FL is kidnapped by remnants of the Allied Countries (a resistance group against the Hyperion Empire), helped by Arcus mages. FL sends word to her family via Cahil who used his spirit power to visit her while she was in a carriage being taken away. - The carriage takes FL to Noxita and Velluan (left court mage). - FL tells them she’s the Arcus archmage and what happened to her. - They think FL’s magic powers were too much for the magic circle to handle and it broke down. All that was left was her soul and it drifted to the Hyperions. FL’s magic powers are slowly returning. - FL wants her death as the archmage to be made official. Noxita and Velluan agree to return to Arcus without her for now. - FL has a plan for avoiding conflict between Arcus and Hyperion. - The Hyperions rescue FL from the Allied remnants. - Velluan lent the power of his contracted evil spirit to Caylen the resistance leader. When unleashed, the evil spirit kills Caylen instead of Rodgo. The resistance is completely crushed. - A small kingdom is blamed for the kidnapping. They’re accused of impersonating Arcus mages. Rosiel is sent to deal with them. - Cahil declines the offer of a reward from Rodgo. - 2yrs later Cahil is a servant of the Ahalden knights order under Helrad. The Couterne knights order is under Rodgo, and the Ielta knights order is under Rosiel. - 5yo FL goes to see the Ahalden knights train. Combat mages arrive to give a demonstration. FL uses her own magic to save Cahil from getting hit by a stray blast of magic during training. - FL rejects a marriage proposal from Scansha’s Hakman the nomadic tribal leader. Her family decide to support Cahil as the Zadkar King to keep Hakman in check. Helrad offers to teach swordsmanship to Cahil so he can grow stronger. - Vanette Illiosa is the spoilt daughter of a Marquis. Before FL born, Vanette was considered the most lovable child in the Empire. She sees FL as the one who stole her spotlight in high society. - FL accepts a tea party invitation from Vanette to use as a chance to find out more info about Hakman on her own. - Vanette is charmed by FL and the tea party ends well. - Right after the tea party, FL is in disguise and goes with Dell to find Lecina the info dealer. For payment Lecina asks for help with a slave auction. FL is shocked when Cahil is introduced as Lecina’s colleague. FL and Cahil pretend they don’t know each other. - FL is submitted as a fake ”item for sale” to infiltrate the auction. FL knows Lecina will betray her and leave FL behind. Unknown to FL, the imperial family are investigating the illegal slave trade and Rosiel attends the auction. - Rosiel waits until the end of the auction before arresting everyone. When he sees FL as the last item, he has a bidding war with an unknown man (Avaritia as Hakman?). FL uses magic to break her chains and flee just as Rosiel stops bidding and turns the auction house upside down. She is hidden by the mystery bidder who removes FL’s magic disguise and reveals he knows she’s the archmage. She realises he’s Avaritia. - Avaritia the Greed is a powerful demon FL sealed away into a dark void when she was an archmage. He’s broken free (most likely after FL’s powers were sealed) and he knows she’s been reborn. He’s obsessed with her and has always wanted to devour her as the archmage. Avaritia regained his powers after Hakman became his new contractor (?) - The 7 deadly sins were the 7 monarchs, the strongest of the evil spirits. Avaritia became the sole monarch after devouring the other monarchs. FL sealed him away to stop him from devouring the human world. - Cahil finds FL with Avaritia who decides to disappear for now. Lecina is detained by Cahil, but she changes into her original form as an old woman and disappears after she’s outed as a mage by FL. - FL returns to the palace and reassures Rosiel. - Cahil goes on a rampage against Helrad’s knights after they bullied him and broke the precious jewelled brooch from FL. - Hakman makes an unannounced visit to see FL. When he presents himself, FL is shocked to see that he’s Avaritia. He gives her a rare magic amplifying tool. - Iruga is a western mage sent by Hakman to serve FL. He casts a strong curse on Cahil and FL is forced to ask Hakman to lift it. - Cahil’s powers go out of control. The capital is covered in snow and he is almost totally consumed by the spirit. FL stops him from killing himself. FL makes Cahil swear the 1st vow to her, giving her control over the spirit as she becomes his master. - Hakman and Iruga return to Scansha by magic. Noxita and Velluan are causing trouble there after hearing about Hakman’s marriage proposal and visit to the palace. - FL proposes to her family for a new knights order to be established under her command. It will consist of mage knights, including Dell, Cahil and Lecina (who was rescued from a gladiator arena). The Ibrote order is established by the time FL is 7yo. - Cahil is the vice captain. He was trained by the Hyperions. - 8yo FL is practising her hunting skills for a hunting competition. She practises horse riding and archery. - The hunt is in honour of the coming-of-age ceremony for her brothers. There will also be the Crown Prince coronation ceremony. - FL starts to wonder if she’ll have to abandon her loving family when she reveals she’s the archmage. - The ceremony is FL’s first official appearance since her 1st bday. - Cahil’s spoilt and arrogant half-siblings Axion and Risaella attend the banquet. When they’re rude to FL, Helrad says he’s insulted by the disrespect shown from Zadkar to have illegitimate children lead their delegation. - FL speaks privately to Noxita and Velluan. She still wants them to declare her death and appoint a new archmage. She hasn’t fully recovered her magic powers yet and she still doesn’t know who the traitor is in Arcus. FL warns them about Avaritia as Hakman. - FL enters a room where Cahil is with Axion and Risaella. Axion threw a glass bottle that contained a strong curse at Cahil. The bottle breaks and the curse hits FL instead. Cahil takes FL away and she eventually overcomes the curse on her own (?) - Cahil goes back to Axion and severs his arm as a warning to Kartina. The Zadkar delegation leave right away. - Iruga gave the curse in the bottle to Axion under Avaritia’s orders. FL didn’t seek his help as he intended. - At the end of the hunting competition, the Arcus mages led by Noxita and Velluan kidnap FL. They declare that FL is the Arcus archmage. FL uses a spell created by Dell that weakens her magic cage and she falls into Rodgo’s arms. - There is a battle between the Hyperion army and the Arcus mages. FL is forced to use the mana amplifying tool to unleash her full magic powers. She subdues all of the Arcus mages. Noxita and Velluan are imprisoned. They admit they were wrong to FL. - FL is accepted by her family as Enisha and the archmage. - The Hyperion family negotiate with Noxita and Velluan about FL. - Greater trade of magic tools will occur between Arcus and the Empire. From the time FL is 10yo, she will stay in Arcus for 3wks each year. - For FL’s 10th bday, she has a “simple” lunch with her family rather than a lavish celebration.

Kenneth and his daughter Anastasia Blackbourne were the villains in the game. - Kenneth has the ability to dispel all magic. - Anastasia is politically shrewd and a poisons / potions expert. - Prince Adrian au Louvel, the male protagonist. He has an arranged engagement to Anastasia as children. He is kind and righteous. His father is the cunning and manipulative King Alendis. - Vicar, a powerful mage. He helps ML when he’s afflicted by the curse and overcome by an unbearable sexual need. - Vicar wants revenge against Alendis for the death of his commoner parents and for sealing Vicar away as a child in a tower. He was accused of being the cursed child of prophecy. - ML and Anastasia are escorted by Adrian to the palace in the neighbouring Au Louvel kingdom. On the way ML collapses and they take him to a nearby tower to rest. - ML’s body is leaking powerful magic. The burning feeling that ML experiences is his body seeking the life force of another. - ML’s leaked power breaks the seal that had trapped Vicar in the tower. Vicar has sex with ML to relieve the symptoms of the curse. - Vicar leaves ML after they arrive at the palace. Vicar visits his hometown and learns his parents were killed and all of the villagers driven away when he was taken to the tower. - Engagement ceremony: Alendis agreed to the engagement because he wants to use ML’s army to further his own territorial conquests. - ML goes out to the palace gardens as he’s overcome by the curse. Vicar appears and they have sex. As Vicar leaves the sleeping ML, he shows himself to Alendis before disappearing. - ML dreams about his ex-girlfriend Mika who says this 2nd life is a chance for him to change and connect with others. - ML and Anastasia return to their own kingdom. Alendis has his spies follow ML in case Vicar shows up. Before ML left, Alendis warned ML that Vicar is the cursed child who was predicted to bring disaster. - Boris the butler (and skilled fighter / assassin) - Vicar visits ML in his bedroom and they have sex. - In the morning Boris discovers Vicar and tries to attack him. ML stops Boris and says Vicar is helping with his illness. - Boris reports to ML that he caught a couple of spies but they died from a magic spell before they could be interrogated. - Anastasia tests a new poison on Boris during tea time. - Alendis continues to search for Vicar. - Anastasia maintains regular correspondence with Adrian. - Vicar’s presence in ML’s palace remains a secret. - Vicar practises magic in preparation against Alendis’ mages. - ML tells Vicar that what happened to him was wrong and he didn’t deserve to be treated like that. While ML can’t support Vicar’s quest for vengeance, ML offers to help Vicar if needed. - Boris reports more spies were found but they also died from the same magic. ML has Boris spread rumours of Vicar being seen wandering the country to throw off Alendis. - The Au Louvel border with the Blackbourne kingdom becomes closed. The letters from Adrian to Anastasia stop. - Adrian refuses to write to Anastasia as Alendis wants to use his letters as a way to manipulate ML. - To improve relations between them, ML has Boris and Anastasia meet with Vicar. To avoid war, they work together to plan and prepare for Alendis and his spies. - The spies are lured into ML’s palace. They’re captured and the magic on them is removed with ML’s ability. Before the royal court, ML makes a show of letting the spies go. ML hopes this will stop Alendis from declaring war as he won’t want to appear as the aggressor. Alendis finds out about ML’s ability from the spies. - Adrian is found near the border. He’s severely wounded and unconscious. He’s brought to ML’s palace. He kept a journal which reveals his worries and fears about Alendis and the bad relations with the Blackbourne kingdom. Adrian went to visit an oracle. - Vicar finds the location of the oracle from Adrian’s journal. After speaking with the oracle, Vicar fears for ML’s safety and rushes back to him. - ML was bedridden with the curse and Boris has sex with him. Boris offers to be ML’s partner from now on, but Vicar appears. - Anastasia visits Adrian in his room. He’s under a spell and attack the guards. Vicar protects Anastasia. ML has Boris, Anastasia, Vicar and his men help to unarm and restrain Adrian. Then ML uses his ability and removes the spell on Adrian. - The reason Alendis imprisoned Vicar rather than kill him is possibly because Vicar might be an illegitimate son of royalty. Vicar’s mother did work as a palace maid. Despite Vicar’s disinterest in the throne, Alendis is desperate to capture Vicar as he’s seen as a threat. - Boris and Vicar go to save a couple of people from Vicar’s village. They’re on the run from Alendis’ men. - ML escorts Adrian back to Alendis. ML is taken to a room where he’s bound by chains. Alendis subjects ML to BDSM. ML falls asleep from a potion he took earlier. - Vicar’s friends are saved and taken back to ML’s palace. - Vicar, Boris and Anastasia meet Adrian at the Au Louvel palace. Alendis and his men fight Vicar. Alendis only stops after Adrian and Anastasia accuse him of trying to kill his own flesh and blood to protect his throne. - ML is given the antidote and later wakes up. - Alendis steps down from the throne. Adrian becomes King. - Vicar decides to travel the world. ML says Vicar will always have a home to return to with him. - Anastasia and Adrian grow up. It’s now the start of the otome game. ML, Anastasia and Adrian have a good relationship.
