Ch 13 as of 03/10/21 - Sura, god of war and king of ghosts - A human sacrifice is offered for Sura’s protection. - The weak and impoverished are forcibly taken and offered as sacrifices. - There’s a remote village in the mountains that is a place of learning for a community of physicians. They lead peaceful and quiet lives. - Cho-Ah, an aspiring physician who thinks all life is precious. - He finds a badly injured man in the store room. - The others wanted Cho-Ah to abandon the man as someone has been killing everyone in the nearby villages. - Mujin is the injured man. He is treated by Cho-Ah and recovers. - He is derided and ridiculed by the others. - A sacrifice is made to Sura by the physicians. It’s fashioned in the shape of a human from the flesh of hunted game. - Cho-Ah draws the fortune stick and it predicts great misfortune. The others turn on Mujin and blame him for this. They want Mujin to leave and die. - Cho-Ah defends Mujin and they go to Cho-Ah’s room. - They confess they like each other and they have sex (Ch 04).

Ch 77 as of 31/12/21 - also on Tapas “Live with no regrets” - FL died as a 35yo vet (or doctor?) in a hit-and-run accident and was reborn in a different world as a baby called Chloe. Her mother was a foreign slave who died after FL was born. - 23yo FL was a slave acknowledged as the illegitimate daughter of the King in Elpasa and she became “Princess Beatrice.” She was forced to marry Chancellor Gilbert, the wealthiest person in Elpasa and the King’s friend. For 2yrs, her married life was a nightmare. - Gilbert betrayed his country, his King and his 25yo wife to support the invasion of Elpasa by the Nosteros Empire. In exchange, Gilbert was granted a title with land. FL’s life was spared at the last minute when the rest of the royal family were killed in the Elpasa palace. - ML is Alexandro Graham 25yo, captain / commander of the imperial knights. He’s awarded the title Archduke for his efforts in Elpasa. He’s known to be cold and ruthless. 15yo ML volunteered to go to war and unite the continent under the Empire. He also did this to avoid the power struggles in the imperial palace. - While in prison, FL witnesses ML kill Alicia, the last Elpasa princess who was once a marriage candidate for ML. Sir Rio, one of the imperial knights, harasses FL but is stopped by the vice captain. - FL now works as a war slave at the estate of Duke Evan Cupito, the imperial knights’ vice captain. She cuts off her long hair and uses her original name: Chloe. She keeps her past as a princess a secret. - FL had previous experience working at the medbay (apothecary, pharmacy) in Elpasa, so she’s assigned to do the same work in the Empire. FL notices the medicine storage area is a mess and cleans it up. Her knowledge from her past and present lives help her to classify and label the medicines. - Sir Jorge, deputy director of the medbay. - After learning FL is literate and seeing how well she organised the medicines, Sir Jorge further tests FL’s knowledge. He sees FL as a valuable resource who will be beneficial to the Empire. He assigns FL to write a book on classifying medicinal herbs. - Sir Jorge also assigns FL to take care of Evan’s younger sister who has insomnia. The sister convinces the other brother (who is ML’s aide) to let FL care for him as well. FL introduces aromatherapy to soothe stress and insomnia. - ML’s favourite horse, Howl suddenly throws Evan from his back while they’re out riding with ML. As Evan is badly injured, Howl will be put down in a week. - Howl was given to ML when he was 10yo. ML now rides Xanthos, Howl’s child. Evan was given Howl to ride so ML could still see the horse. - Sir Jorge takes FL with him to examine Howl. He suspects Howl ate a poisonous herb. He assigns FL to investigate the herbs on the mountainside and identify what caused the accident. - FL saves Howl through her medicinal know-how. - ML adds FL to his entourage for a year-long ceremonial march where she’ll attend to him directly. - FL is permitted to continue writing for the book on medicinal herbs by sending her notes back. - FL solves the poisoning mystery of those who ate wild boar. - After revealing she’s a war slave from Elpasa, FL is bullied by the other maids but she doesn’t report them. - Evan shares his strong suspicions with ML that FL is actually Princess Beatrice in hiding. - ML takes FL to the local harvest full moon festival. He secretly buys her a red camellia hair clip as a gift. - ML’s father is the Emperor but ML has already rejected the throne. The Emperor won the throne through a military uprising. - The Emperor is pressuring ML to marry Clara Vandoras, daughter of a Duke. She’s a persistent lady who fell in love at first sight when she saw ML a year ago. - The Emperor mistakenly thinks ML is gay and keeps pushing women to him at every opportunity. - ML plays along and even has FL involved as his “gay lover”. - The coachman Trigger shares his secret with FL that he’s gay. - Even FL starts to think ML is gay when he asks her to guard over him as he sleeps due to his severe insomnia. - Rebellion is brewing from the feudal lords of large territories with their own militias ... - The entourage is attacked by bandits with suspicious backers. - Marquis Burnett shows his private militia in training to Marquis Gilbert (FL’s ex-husband). He forces Gilbert to choose treason. - FL hears of a fortune teller in the nearby village and visits her with ML. FL is told 4 men will be involved in FL’s life. ML is told his loving mother and sister are watching over ML, and that he and his wife will be married for life. - ML is grappling with his inner turmoil about how he is around FL. He hasn’t admitted he has feelings for her yet. - They stop at another Duke’s estate, a former teacher of ML. Waiting for him in the bedroom is Clara again, persistent as always. She only leaves after agreeing to meet with someone else to see if they’re a better match. If not then ML will reconsider. - ML is driving himself mad with thoughts about FL which only gets worse when in town he sees a fancy dress that would suit her. While FL tends to a hurt child, he sees her as a loving mother. - One late night after training, ML realises FL thinks that he’s gay. To show her that he’s not, he kisses her. FL avoids him after that. - FL goes with Trigger to look for herbs when he asks her to marry him. She accepts then tells him who she really is. They’re interrupted by someone who overheard their conversation then ran away so they give chase, but Trigger loses both Chloe and the other person. ML sends out a search party. - Chloe is chased by a wolf and is found in a tree by an old woman (Julia McCowell) and her male servant. The woman brings FL back to her house then finds ML and reunites them. Julia’s family were executed for treason 10yrs ago. - Julia is actually ML’s grandma. FL asks ML not to kill her. - ML’s mother took him hostage 10yrs ago and threatened to kill him if she didn’t gain the throne. His father killed her in front of ML and her family were all executed. ML hated his mother who ignored him for all of his life. - FL gives to ML the diary of his mother Sophia, which Julia gave to FL earlier. The diary starts from just before Sophia married ML’s dad, Duncan. Sophia was in love with Duncan in the beginning, but it was only a political marriage and he was cold to her. - When Sophia gave birth to their 1st child, Duncan abandoned the baby to die as it was a girl. Sophia loved ML but also hated him for looking so much like Duncan. Trapped and isolated, she slowly became mad with extreme ideas. - ML rushes to FL and tells her that he loves her. He will love and cherish only her for the rest of their lives. They embrace and kiss. He asks her to be with him. He’ll wait for her answer as long as it takes, as long as she stays beside him. - Julia has her male servant secretly deliver a letter to FL. Julia thanks FL and warns her about not getting involved with Duncan, who only cares about power and family. FL cannot trust him. - ML confronts Trigger after learning about the marriage deal made with FL. ML is shocked FL told Trigger that she is Princess Beatrice but she has yet to tell ML.

Read ch 44 as of 16/01/21 - translation weird in parts ** FL way too clueless. Super slow plot (ugh!). ** Art is so so. Too boring. DROPPED ** - FL was 28yo daycare centre teacher, grew up an orphan. - Reborn as stepmother Roselia Chide to future villain Ain Spenner Chide, father Duke Cassius Chide. - The Chide family have a tradition of raising their children to have no weaknesses due to their many enemies. It’s kill or be killed. - FL thinks Ain is a sweet lovable child but he’s actually the opposite. Ain comes to like having a mother. - The 3 of them start eating breakfast together as a family, after Duke gets irritated seeing just the 2 of them. - Ain is being trained in his tolerance to poisons. FL puts a stop to this (but he keeps taking poisons secretly). Duke agrees to let her review Ain’s education. She uses his free time as play time for games or relaxing. FL and Ain play hide-n-seek, FL unaware Ain trained in stealth since very young. Ain also secretly being taught about assassinations. - FL is very much blinded to Ain’s act of innocence as he still looks like a small child, while she remains very scared of and dislikes the expressionless Duke. - They visit the King together as a family. Ain is sent off to see Prince Lucas even though they hate eachother. Lucas is the male protagonist. Elisha is the female protagonist. - Ain and the Duke compete for FL’s attention. Duke says he’ll join them during play time to spend it together as a family. Their relationship slowly improves. - FL finds out about the annual illness that has the Duke bedridden for a week and cares for him. - Meeting of the Nobles: Ain is bullied by other kids - At another social gathering, Ain is taunted about losing FL’s attention when another child is born.

Ch 15 as of 03/06/22 ** plot is kinda boring and the child sex abuse is yuck - ML made a contract with Raven the demon king when ML was a child. The demon granted 3 wishes to ML, with the death of the orphanage director Paul Green who was sexually abusing ML as his 1st wish. ML escaped from the demon after he guessed the demon’s name correctly. - Linda Walker, Director of the IMB and a dragon (tbc) - Jerry Bell, NY branch director of the IMB and a 10yo dragon. - After the death of Paul Green, ML was put in a witness protection program and had his name changed from Jaehee Kim. - As an adult, ML is now Daniel Barton and he works in the NY branch of the secret Interracial Management Bureau (IMB). He deals with cases involving supernatural beings. - 1st Lady Eva Taylor was murdered. She had contracts with 3 high ranking demons. After arriving in Washington to work on this case, ML meets Jesus Miller who is the demon Raven but he doesn’t recognise the adult ML. - Miranda Able, casino director and a demon - Fredrick Cromwell, congressman and a demon - Benjamin Weber, a demon - Will Taylor, US President - Raven is the president of the Blue Water organisation (BWO), a famous international aid organisation.

Read ch 43 as of 25/10/20 - Emperor & concubine are really annoying, stupid & awful. ** Consider dropping this if goes on for too long ** DROPPED **

Ch 58 as of 29/12/21 - lost interest. DROPPED - FL commoner Clarence Holton, genius pupil under master swordsman Lance Holton. Knighted aged 15yo under Duke Spencer and retired 25yo. Each of these men find her one by one: - Mage Kenneth Owen of the magician tower - Imperial Palace Knight Captain Phillip Wilkins, also a Count - Priest Dale - Crown Prince Oswin Leigham - FL travels to her hometown to reunite with her brother Clive who she hasn’t seen in 14yrs - She’s dismayed to hear he’s been working as a servant for the castle lord since he was 8yo, rather than be schooled etc using the monthly pay she sent home. - Their guardians are despicable people to say the least - FL and Clive accept lodgings from bookstore owner Mdm Hubert Marshall. FL also will work at store. - FL has her revenge on their horrid guardians - Kenneth makes a surprise visit to FL. - During the war, he had saved her life by gathering her life force with magic. He needs to regular check the stability and asks FL to visit the capital every 6mths. - Kenneth gives her a necklace infused with his magic to help with the stability. - Coming of age ceremony: FL attends with Clive, Cecily (nice daughter of horrid guardians, like a sister). - Karl Barrow (dodgy rich merchant) smack down by FL and surprise appearance of Sir Wilkins who wanted FL to go back with him. - Sir Wilkins and FL stop arson attack on bookstore (most likely Karl Barrow behind it) - Sir Wilkins returns to capital, forced to see Duke Spencer even though he’s been getting reports on FL. - Dale runs away from the temple and is found collapsed in the street near FL’s bookstore by Cecily. - He stays with FL but doesn’t know how to do anything. - Marco Humphrey, old friend of Mdm Hubert and a great collector / hoarder of books. - Crown Prince and Sir Wilkins visit a newly established immigrant village near FL as an excuse to visit her. - Karl Barrow hired some mercenaries to hunt and kill FL for revenge. FL survives after fainting from a poisoned arrow. Crown Prince was there to save her in the end. Karl is killed. - FL learns that Duke Spencer is missing in the Western Disaster Zone he was sent to subjugate with just 50 knights. The Duke was sent to die intentionally by the Emperor as he’s the 2nd in line to the throne and a threat to the Crown Prince’s position. - FL can’t go officially as a knight as it could look like supporting rebellion. She asks Dale for help to let her join him as Dale is going there with some temple knights. Sir Wilkins is also going with a few of his knights. - FL is disguised as an apprentice priest but she’s eventually discovered by Sir Wilkins.
