Haikyu!! Dj - No More Words

Complete | zeroshiki (kabosu) | 2014 released

4.9, I do like this one, I think it’s cute and it contains a level of depth that displays how well they are connected emotionally like a married couple would be after years of marriage to partner you’ve now gotten to know like the back of your hand. My only gripe with this one is that it seems like there should be more chapters for their level of intimacy and connection, it feels like we were dropped into the middle of the manga. Could reread again though.

10!, I love this one. It’s like a well rounded soup that has depth, it hearty and delicious at the same time. The timing of it taking place (three years after the sisters passing), their development being led by the assumed sister watching over both of them, their heart to hearts as they each go through their internal processing, and the genuine love/adoration they feel for each-other is so wholesome. Now tbf the kisses were not consensual, therefore rather than 100 I give it a 10, but I can’t deny that everywhere else it’s perfect. I wouldn’t say there was any miscommunication because it’s actually more of healing ones self and consolidating hurt feelings from loss. Anyway, would def reread.

5/5, this one I could reread lots of times, I like the whole guise dynamic they had and the good pain that came from a true good intention. so unique too to make a superpower of sorts using a voice technique (similar to inumaki from JJK). I will say though, there’s little details that could’ve been cut altogether or replaced with something else that I feel would’ve made me adore this manhwa more. Such as— Kazu dated plenty of women, the other one dated like one yet the flow of the story made it seem like Kazu was the one in more pain after his bsf dated ONE singular woman. Like I get it, one or 10, it hurts but that’s a… interesting portrait lol.

5.9, I would definitely reread again, the art style is very cute and the plot is so wholesome plus it gets extra recognition for being a bl manga without dubious consent or other such triggering topics (which is few and far in between).

5.0, I really like the art style first and foremost. I also believe I would read this again which is why it gets full starts but I will say, I don’t know how to feel about the ending. I’m happy they’re ending up together but I feel like it was rushed because.. supposedly the cat spirit dies but is reincarnated or something? But his himself just human now? I don’t quite understand the lore, it seems underdeveloped there but overall it’s a good one

5.9+, besides the creeper ex-side piece this story is soooo wholesome and lovely. The looks-like-gangster-is-actually-a-sweetheart trope is the cutest ever, this hanger looking Seme is so crude looking but is the sweetest Seme I’ve read recently I loved reading it. I just wish they explained and found the source of why he suddenly nearly burned the Uke tho with human temp out of the blue. Other than that, I’d reread!

Natsu no Teppen ni Saku

Ongoing | kotarou | 2019 released

4.99, this is a really cute trope actually. Best friends to lovers but it’s from an age where they’re both trying to do some discovery separately then come together. It’s really so cute that it covers that individual growth, united growth, into adulthood, where they’re more confident and established in their relationship. My only irk is just that the Seme seems so obtuse about feelings of affection in their initial confession days yet the next chapter when the Uke assumes his feelings as obtuse (as it has been so far), the Seme gets all uppity. Now again I get it, it’s part of the development, but I wish they had some time where he outright displaying more feelings for the Uke (aka He feel first but Heee fell harder type of dynamic). But I could def reread.

Itadakimasu, wa Koi no Aji

Complete | Matsumoto Ayaka | 2022 released

5, surprisingly cute for a very brief one shot. This could definitely be expanded further than other multi chapter reads, it’s really cute how the tall one tried to get the shorter one’s attention, wish that was explored more to trace back to the first time we wanted his attention. But it was adorable, they ate together and eventually their confession was so pure.

Mitsuya Sensei no Keikakuteki na Edzuke

Complete | matsumoto ayaka | 2019 released

5.6, I really love the art, it’s immaculately well done, the plot is robust for a quick little manga, and the composition of the panels with recipes at the end pertaining to the chapters definitely makes this a read that I’d not ONLY reread but I’d ALSO def put this on my “manga to buy when I get manga money” list. The Chef author has quite a unique personality, a playful kind of light hearted youthful personality that somehow weaves so well with his maturity on both life experiences as well as looks. His resistance to a relationship is well founded for their dynamic both professionally and personally (age & sexuality wise) so there was no real infuriating misunderstandings. There was no roop or SA- not even any coitus period which is fine because this fluff plot was already great as is. Both characters are actually well written and their personalities are so well founded, plus they’re both quite charming (esp the older male). I wouldn’t change a thing.

Matsuyoi no Oni

Complete | Fumi tsuyuhisa | 2019 released

5.9, I really like this one and have reread it multiple times. It’s a great era plot and engaging for its integration of Yokai and Oni which you don’t see often. The art is also really stunning and I enjoy the plotline, my only issue is that the misunderstanding between the two regarding the Semes relationship with the Nun (AKA it being a more parental relationship than romantic) was a little annoying as it was just continuously dismissed. Other than that I’d say everything’s very well written, all consent and agreement, very well.
