Till Our Lips Touch
the villain was homophobia!!!! this is a really sweet story as expected and what really makes it is the honest communication between the main couple as well as their commitment to each other. THAT said! I'm still confused on: Thancred's sexuality, the relationship Greg/Izzy have with Mickey and his brothers, is Mickey also gay?, the story behind 'Honey Don', is Mark also Greg??, who's Alphie?? a friend??, What I want more of: The Chairman teasing Izzy (cuz its cute), Don's love story with Greg!!!
I want to do it, even if it hurts
YO THIS IS SO CUTE WHAT
Crash Into Me
the characters were quite tender and the drama was great. When I thought I knew what was coming, I didn't. The sex scenes ranged from tender to naaaaasttaaayyyy and I loved it. There was so much emotion all the time, simplu through the dialogue and the pacing. There's some stories where the actions carry a lot of meaning and the dialogue is alright. But here both the plot and the dialogue create a the scene and there were so many times were I was so excited or vulnerable because I FELT the scene within me and from all fronts. beautiful!
Cheese In The Trap Manhwa
I- have little to no words. I was so moved. I couldn't predict what would happen but everything also unraveled in a very satisfying way. I can't really say there's a lesson here because it felt like such a genuine story. I felt like these events were developing naturally day by day and there were no cliches; even the way they fell or looked at each other felt only true to these specific characters. Anyways, I couldn't create the contrast between plots to find meaning, but the meanings werent lost. I thought about how one crafts their own identity and takes ownership over their life. The choices we make and the person we craft ourselves to be, come together slowly without us noticing but somehow all at once. Its from the very little moments when we choose to be ourselves (or not), or when we stand up for ourselves (or not), or when we give in to our worst (or best) traits. I guess what I'm trying to say is this story is about who you are meeting who you want to be and everything in between with a special understanding of the weight of who you were. In the process, its a story that covers what it means to choose and commit to building your love.
Haru No Noroi
meh -kinda sad, I just dont understand the guilt like i cant empathize with them
Last Game
I particularly liked this because of how it focused on the ML perspective- again ... I love watching men grovel in love ^.^ The second ML was also pretty great and I personally empathised with Kujou because of her focus and desire to give her mom a better life. I think that while this is a cheesy romance, it developed its characters pretty well. Both main characters tackled their hurdles between love. Kei-kun even had his own development and meaningful storyline. The love triangles? square? was meaningful and didn't feel forced especially given how early the secondary charcters were rejected, they didn't get on with each other and processed their rejection/ML+FL's relationship differently too. While the plot was a standard as they get, the characters do speak for themselves so its a refreshing story nonetheless
Adam no Rokkotsu
this was a relatively short story, but I connected a lot with the characters. Yuuchan was well developed as our maaain character and Rei's life was properly depicted and confronted especially when his father showed up. We dive deep into how his alters came to be as trauma responses. I don't think we went through all of them in the same depth but I also feel like that adds to layered reactions and needs. Like Flashy Jirou was present for like 5 panels total but most likely that's becuase he(Rei) didn't need to switch the burden off to him. While DID is very serious -I don't want to minimize that- and something that's still being understood by leading researchers, this comic allowed me to reflect on how I cope with trauma and my responses/ticks to certain situations. Nothing specific comes to mind atm, but I am aware of myself when I'm triggered and the particular self that is burdened inside me. Often it is the inner child and the emphasis on that Itzuki also reminded me of my inner child and how lonely she is/was. I need to tend to her as yuuchan did for ituki. I think as long as u approach this story, respectfully and aware of its technical shortcomings, it can be very lovely.
Behind The desk
mhm (don't even wanna read the side stories) This story just falls flat in so many ways. The seme is my type but he falls for the uke SO quickly that it truly doesn't make sense. The uke is annoying even after he finds himself; we also don't even get a hint of the sort of stories and worlds he wants to create or even his imagination. It hard to believe that one who has denied themselves for so long to the point it was difficult to verbalize desire .... now has the imagination for children's lit. sus. Also, it almost looked like a student council member was tryna have a thing with Seo ... and that randomly disappeared. It was a bit upsetting, how they were mostly comedic relief. But I do think larger and important themes were brought to light (poorly, but still) - emotional abuse and manipulation - developing your identity away from your partner - courage to blaze your own path outside of the work that's already been done for you -making mistakes is inevitable, don't avoid opportunities to succeed/ make a mistake (its the same opportunities) - forgive yourself and move forward
