Shishunki Cherry Bullet
Smut (esp one that centers around teenagers) isnt my cup of tea but this one has so many healthy relationship points! Communication, respecting your partner's preferences, taking your time, etc. My favorite and most memorable one is where the MC (reluctantly) wore a cute maid dress bc he thought that'd make his bf happy, but then his bf was like "if i can choose, then i want you to wear a butler costume" because for him, "cuteness" is not about the outfit, but the person who's wearing it. And that's super precious!
Hana Tokidoki Kuma
TW: internal homophobia Feels too short and unfinished. Maybe it's because of page quota or something like that? Anw it's a shame because i love this kind of dynamic. It feels a bit lacking, we clearly see MC is dealing with internal homophobia, ML is still misunderstood, and they're barely starting their relationship. It's still a decent read though, sweet and cute. There are pages that are mixed up, so maybe read on somewhere else.
Shiro No Koro
TW: homophobia A a a a a a a i love this one so much. No idea why i didn't read this sooner, Mita Ori is one of my fave authors. All the stories here are very heartwarming and sweet, they're short and i wish each one of them had their own volume, but at the same time they're good as they are. Overall a beautiful book to make your day better!
Hotaru wa Ashita Shinu
Personally i don't really like both of MCs and the premise of how they come to be together, but the writing is objectively decent. In the sequel-dj it's apparent that they're in a very healthy relationship, and that's nice to see.
GATAPISHI
Weird, but in a good way. I like it. The setting, the characters, and the art made me feel nostalgic. The whole manga has a good coming-of-age vibe (especially with the donny darko reference). Both of the MCs (mostly tomoyuki) are dramatic, but it's a degree that kinda makes sense for 16 year olds. They live and love so recklessly and endearingly. I wish the characters were fleshed out better tho, it would be really good to see them explored both as individuals and a couple.
Bending the Spoon
Oooo this one's pretty good! At the core it's about two unsocial boys slowly opening up to each other, just with an extra spice. It's fluffy and full of warm feelings. The supernatural aspect is also fun to read, i wish author could include more of them having fun with it.
Randen to Saga
Started interesting but the conclusion is rushed. The way they started dating was pretty cute but then they quickly slept together and it was like a whiplash lmao. I wish the author saved the sex for an omake or extra because that felt out of the blue. Also, i wish mike's power was explored more.
Asatte ni Kiss
MC IS SO CUTE I CAN'T TAKE IT. I really enjoyed reading his interaction with ML, they're so sweet with each other. The misunderstanding kinda broke my heart too--I can't imagine how huge of a blow that night was for them, so i'm glad to see it resolved well.
