Fukigen Na Mononokean
NOO I DONT WANT THIS TO ENDDDDD This manga, man. I'm so glad i withheld reading until it's completed because it would have KILLED me to wait for the ongoing chapters. It's been a while since i've found something this immersive--I laughed, cried, and smiled the whole time i was reading this. The level of world building and character design are just Superb, the writing is excellent, and the main characters are truly the star of the whole manga. I didn't expect myself to love Hanae THIS much, but boy, do i love him. At first he seemed to be the typical clumsy-dumb-overly positive main character, but he turned out to be way more than that. He's so endearing and kind and totally hilarious that i can't help but like him. The way he interacts with the demons never feel forced and he fits seamlessly into the delivery of the life lessons in each chapter. The overall story is Great, like i'd totally read another 30 chapters with no problem. In fact, that's my main gripe with this manga, it's that it should've been longer. A lot of things are left unanswered, and there are stuffs that just need to be included, such as Abeno's back story and the whole Sakae shebang (how did he meet Aoi? How did he change his mind about killing demons? Did Hanae's mom ever find out what happened to him? Etc). And that ending, man. The whole final arc feels too rushed and would've benefited from at least another 10 chapters, but well. What do i know. I do know that the story was fun, it's what Yokai Apartment strives but fails to be, i had a blast reading it and it's totally worth the wait.
Rockabye Dear
TW: child abuse, trauma, unhealthy coping mechanism, dissociation, dubcon because of said dissociation, self harm, underaged sex Oooo what a good read. Author did well in depicting how trauma really works, how you can have the most loving environment and still be haunted by the horrible things that had happened to you. I love that the MC's trauma didn't magically disappear because he was loved, instead he had to first admit that something was wrong with him, ask for help, and get a proper therapy before he got better--because that's how it works in real life.
Dramatic de Nani ga Warui
I won't rate for real bc the rating's already low but it's 3.5 out of 5 for me. It's adorable, i like that they act like kids in highschool do, and their relationship feels natural. But there's nothing new with the overall story and i think it'd be better off as a shounen ai.
Kino to Yano
Pros: - Straightforward and healthy relationship - Communication - Affectionate couple Cons: IM TOO OLD FOR THIS KIND OF STORIES and i feel like i've read dozens of other mangas with the exact same plot and progression.
The Male High School Students Are Hungry Again Today

Mobyama Aji to Mobtani Crou no Kareinaru Nichijou e no Chousen
A fave genre: making fun of all the yaoi logics and cliches in BL mangas. "I do have a hole back there right....?" Funniest line ive ever read.
Sukebe no Seishun
I like it! Sure it has some questionable stuffs but at the end of the day it's a pretty uplifting highschool romance. The tone of the manga is crack, and the plot is absurd if you think about it too long, but it also touches themes like friendship, accepting others' and your own shortcomings, the ups and downs of being in a first serious relationship, navigating the change from being teenagers to adults......in short, it's a pretty good read. I also Love how laid back everyone is about two men dating........so refreshing to see.
