TW: past pedophilia, assault, stalking, boss-subordinate relationship There are times when i can't pinpoint why exactly i like a manga, and this is one of them. Be it the characters, the development, the dynamic or pacing... i guess you could say that i like everything about this manga. Such a lighthearted, wholesome, and enjoyable read. (Also that "don't couples always have sex right away?" line... awesome dig on other BL mangas lmao)

TW: dub-con, self harm, violence Kudos for originality but the story and characters were extremely under explored despite the interesting premise. It came off underwhelming by the time i finished it. One thing i like is that eventhough MCs were in a fuck-or-die situation, they still took the time to establish consent.

I recently re-read this and i feel like i didn't give it the review it deserved, so here it is! I really liked the pacing of this story. A lot of BLs especially the R18 ones always seem to be in a rush to get the characters to have sex, eventhough there's little to no development in their relationship romantically. Here, the story ends with just the possibility of a romance. The small kiss that the MCs had at the end was even....lackluster? In a good way though! It was followed by a comment saying that they needed more time (to get used to the idea of them being involved romantically), and the story ended there. Which i think is Great. I respect the author's awareness of what stage MCs were in their relationship, and her choice to pace the manga accordingly. A lot of readers seemed to be disappointed with the lack of romance, but imo this manga is more about friendship and self acceptance, and the ending is perfect for what it is.

I re-read this all in one go because i forgot the plot lmao. Plot-wise it's interesting and the first few chapters are great, but the execution is a bit lacking i suppose? In the first place, author never explains much about this imaginary country the story is set in, so there are a lot of ambiguities and confusion regarding how things work (the laws, the government, the police, etc). Dynamic between main characters is fun, can be a bit tiring / frustrating bc of Hanhoo's possessiveness and lack of moral though, and i'm floored that he's not in prison because he was basically a mass murderer himself. There are also a LOT of side characters but no development / exploration so they feel like nobodies eventhough they're supposed to be the people Chanseol were closest with. Idk. This manhwa feels unfinished. Maybe it's because of the pacing or the art, but everything feels very surface level and impact-less. The situations the characters are in are often very grave and the main conflict is dark as hell, but i never feel that way while reading it.

Very looking forward to this! From what i've read i think it's going to be a Phenomenal one. I always love to see established couple bicker affectionately and be domestic with each other, and this manga conveys both with great story telling and dialogues. Can't wait to read the rest.

Such a fun quick read! Two capable business men who are in love with each other having too much fun playing game of chicken to see who'll fold first. It's refreshing, straightforward, with no unnecessary drama and a fitting ending (if kinda abrupt).

From the author of Moratte Kudasai-- and i'm so fucking in love. There's so much to unpack idek what to say. My heart's hurting the whole time i'm reading and i can't wait for the life of me for another chapter.
