I first encountered Shaman King as an anime back when I was eight. And now that I'm older, I am much more enamoured with the manga than I was with the TV series back then. This is a pretty good read.

Just as striking as the anime, if not more so. I love, loved it!!! But I just had to live in a country where securing licensed and/or physical copies of any manga is harder than acing college exams. ( ノAヽ )

Short, bitter. While it is, in essence, 'conventional', what we glean from it is worth every coin.

❦︎30 Maomao (the female lead) has a penchant, bordering on obsession, for anything poison-related...and her ways of expressing that is rather endearing. ;)

...and so it leaves us with a dozen wondrous chapters where an actual climax, a falling action and a denouement has not been drawn. I found myself beguiled with a manhua so absorbing it seemed like it'll never end, and yet just when I thought the act is being prepped for a dazzling climax, it ended... This series has been discontinued. And it will remain as such. (;´༎ຶٹ༎ຶ`)

That cursed final arc... （； ￣Д￣） It seems that Ohtaka-sensei paved a road for the grand finale but somehow veered off the track, and it made the last arc a mixed bag of sorts... it simply wasn't up to par with everything else.

Ai, no available English translation for this webtoon's novel...only MTL (which I gave up on after reading five lines ). I've read a few dozen MTLs but it wasn't as bad as the available MTL for this novel. Of course, MTLs can be gibberish at times but this one was unreadable gibberish. Or so it was when I last checked. ◆104
