I Became the Tyrant’s Servant
Another transmigration into a novel story. This time too possessing a villainess body. She is for sure misunderstood, she clearly loves the Emperor and with their history together, there has to be more to the story. The deal with his mother I'm not sure but maybe it has something to do with the Emoress Dowager. It was nice to see that the Duchess was the real power all along but even that can be questioned. The art style is nice, the plot is sub par. I hate this thing they keep doing with the Emperor and Ethan literally butting heads over the MC, the sudden switch of Ethan though understandable to some extent is too overplayed. He is still the Emperor after all. Also another complaint I have for this genre is regarding the accuracy of the novel that they read before they came into this world, like why does it miss out so many important information. I'd get it if it were minor but this is some pretty big stuff. Moreover thr fact that in the novel she was executed by the Emperor because she begged him to reconsider spending money on building a greenhouse for the og FL since they were on a tight budget makes no sense. I hope they give a satisfying reason for that.
Beneath the Surviving Princess Joyful Facade
This is saurr good. I love how the MC can stay so strong in such an impossibly hard situation. One thing I'll commend this on is the realistic way that the princess is strong, it's not in the realm of absurdity but in the way her situation allows her to. She practices the things she hears people say when she's sure everyone is asleep.. She can't speak clearly and has trouble constructing sentences. She doesn't have any manners since she wasn't taught, her hands shake when trying to use cutlaries to eat her food since she uses her bare hands. She tiptoes around everyone. She doesn't have common sense and doesn't get embarrassed when she's naked or talking about consummating their marriage. The tyrant is also an interesting case, it seems the incident a few or so years ago made him the way he is. Of course the incident is shrouded in mystery and only the king and the princess and that one guy knows about it. The ML is a green forest. I love how he doesn't take out his anger on the princess and how responsible he is, how patient he is and the way he is so gentle towards her. He also told his mother right away when he found out about his father cheating on her. About the couple, the father is a brute who has no political sense and neglects his duties so the ML has to shoulder everything himself. Not to mention how he cheats on his wife and made his knight(?) take in his mistress as his second wife so he can meet her regularly. Their marriage had always been purely business but after the ML's younger sister died, they became estranged. About the younger sister Rosie, it seems she's the reason why the Mother is so taken with the princess. She's seeing Rosie in the princess since they have the same coloured eyes and since Rosie died as a child, the princess' behavior mirrors that so she feels protective over her. I hate the two maids to the core, can't they die already?
I Was the Real Owner of Elheim
This is actually really cute. So many things happening all at once but it's not overwhelming.. At least for me. I like the MC's attitude and I like how instantly the ML is taken with her. I love how straightforward this is, it gets to the point and doesn't beat around the bush. So many things happening already at just twenty chapters. It's interesting the way Rian view his twin Riarte. I do think the way the Duke blames only Riarte is irrational and not nuanced enough, since they are twins. Like why blame only one of them if you are so keen on blaming someone in the first place? Just because she wasn't awakened. The thing with her being the reincarnator of the first head was unexpected. The way the Spirit King kept on calling Rian a fake was amusing but it somehow didn't sit well with me. The way the three elder brothers are so useless is comical, they don't even consider Riarte as a family except for that third brother who is a pussy btw.. I don't know if it's because of the translation but Riarte said that he was born in the same year as her.. That confuses me.. Like was he born in like Jan or Feb and the twins on October or Nov? The way the second bitch of a brother just told Rian to break her ankles so she couldn't leave even after she came of age made me do a double take. Ugh.. I seriously can't stand them. The first brother talking about how even if the Rian wasn't the one to be contracted to the Spirit king, the Duke position was still his since he had no desire for it. Like get real.. Also the way Rian treats the third brother made me hum in approval. That man deserves no respect. Why is the crown prince so threatened by the Birche family to go through the lengths of placing a curse on the ML? Also regarding the corrupted Spirit king, the spirit king that the MC is contracted to was the one who split them into half so he couldn't leave the place to follow her as the seal would be undone.. That was also surprising. Is it because he's corrupted that the dust thingy from it is harmful to humans? Making them faint and what not..
Exclusive maid of the evil empress
I actually really like this. It's not the best but it's nice to read. I like the MC so that's a bonus for me. I like how she is so patient with the Empress and puts her duty above everything else. I also like how she argues with people using cold hard facts, maybe it has to do with how she was raised in Dumanis. I also like her dynamic with the crown prince strangely enough, it's way too fast but it doesn't grate on my nerves. The Duchess and the former Empress sisterhood was also very interesting to see, I like that the Duchess cares more about her than her brother, cuz it would be hard to be close to someone who is the heir. I don't like her logic that the crown prince should have been aborted but I get where she's coming from. Especially when she shut the Emperor up when she asked him if it were the current Empress would he have made the same decision? Also love the crown princess and how she treasures the MC, it's a complicated situation for sure but the fact that for knights their duty is their life so it makes sense. What doesn't make any sense is the way I worded it haha... The spirit princess was super cute as well. She is an ice breaker for sure. I wish we saw the Empress' children much earlier but I'm glad we can see them now. I felt so proud when the empress said she wanted to get a divorce and stood her ground. The way the Emperor just kept on telling her to endure and not overreact made me want to rip all my hair out. Endure, tolerate it, be the bigger person yada yada. I wonder if the Viscount/count will get together with the Empress.. Although he is sketchy and collaborated with the Duchess, his priority is still her so..
Housekeeper in a Dungeon
I fucking love this. This is great. I love the MC, I love the brother and I love the ML. This is so wholesome. I like that she makes do with what she has and is so normal, no trying to be cool or too curt. She's a normal average citizen of a society. No quirkiness or anything. I like the puppy ML, how he becomes talkative when he's drunk etc. I like his brother too, the complete opposite of him.. Organised, responsible, very put together.. I like how everyone adores the MC. Also the way this author writes the female characters..Chef's kiss mwah.. The CEO is a woman.. The team leader is a woman(I thought she was a man at first)..and no underlying message that just because a woman has a job, she's a bad person/sister/wife and has bad personality etc.. Nice female representation..
Mary Jane
This is really nice. I like the doctor, I like MJ and I am very curious about 'Father'. I assume Father is the doctor that the MC's senior met. This obsession is very intriguing in how it plays out, the Father's and MJ's obsession with the MC is so different that it creates such a nice contrast. I personally really dislike Crack and the sniper girl. They were just so annoying ugh.. About the MC's ex wife and his child.. I wish some more light would be shed on that. Especially the child, it would be nice to see their bond. Of course the doctor's busy so they won't have spent much time together but regardless. I like that we see how unstable MJ is and how the doctor works around that. It took me a while to get used to the art style thou, especially the doctor's character design. It was so still and felt so rigid for me.
Celeb Lady
This is nice. It lacks depth but reading this for a quick fix certainly makes it a desirable read. I like the MC.. It goes by a bit too fast, the emotional beats of the story, the plot, the turning into a slim and beautiful lady etc etc. I like that the character has a blunt personality so there is no miscommunication and she thinks with her head. I would like to know more about her life as Juliet and the adversities she faced as the top A list star of a country and possibly the world. Her eldest brother just by his description annoys me already. Because of him, because of his enabling of the evil step grandma's abuse.. The MC had to suffer in silent for so long. I hope that this doesn't get swept under the rug and is properly addressed. The thing with the crown prince is cool.. I guess? Also I like that they still haven't met even though this is chap 21. I would have lost interest if the story kept panning to him from the get go. He isn't the main star, our MC is and it should remain that way. The thing with her dad.. He was probably poisoned. I like this new trend of taking a dig at absent and toxic fathers who only care for their wife and forget about their children. Also how does the grandma know about Wishlet. There are some mysteries here and there that I want to get to the bottom of. The aunt and uncle.. I won't even waste my breath on them. Just pea sized villains.
Imperial Marriage
This is so stinking cute!! OMG I loveeeee it! I like Eunri, I like the ML.. I just know her sweet life is gonna be turned upside down since she has that scar on her pretty face. What happened to her family? And why is she his second wife? I'm sure he only loves her but still.. Palace customs can kiss my ass.. I love the ML being so silent, caring and I live for his long hair. I love that she refers to him as 'brother with pretty eyelashes' and how she says 'you'll forget about me soon because of ladies with pretty eyelashes.. ' so cute! The scene where she slapped the merchant back after he slapped the ML? Chef's kiss
The Selfish Romance
The eyebrows are eyebrowing. The MC is a self made CEO.. Albeit to a small company. She is very normal. She is hung up on her ex of five years since she overheard him on a call with someone talking about her, that he was never attracted to her, he would marry her since it was what she wanted, he would spend his whole life trying to be repay her for the debt he owes her. What is the debt? We don't know and tbh I'm not curious. She broke up with him in a restaurant when he proposed to her (not sure).. She dumped him wearing a perfect haughty expression.. The ML is also there. It's obvious. Maybe he got the inspiration to break up from his celebrity girlfriend because of that? The ML is a chef with heavy eyebags and dark circles for days.. Like a Mappa animator.. He is at the beck and call of his ex. She is such a red flag honestly and it seems she doesn't love him. She just uses him. The first we see them together is when he runs off after getting a call.. Then the MC runs after him to give him his wallet that he dropped. She comes across them.. Him trash talking her.. What a tsundere.. Telling her he just felt pity for her yada yada.. The MC of course is offended by this since it's the exact same thing with her situation.. She throws the wallet at his head.. Blah blah.. She is also a huge fan of his ex.. She doesn't know this of course. We see MC's ex laughing with a girl.. He is quite the looker as well.. That makes me mad
