Plot is often directionless, and many chapters feel unrelated to the previous one. Author also tried to cram in way too many couples for the story length. Good representation (except for a lot of the signing where someone clearly isn't looking or their hands aren't free to sign), and some real issues were addressed, but the story could have been done better justice. Summary from Manta: " A human and a beast living under one roof. Chaewool's heart shatters after the death of his boss, Chaehun, whom he had long admired in secret. But soon after, Chaehun returns. Does that mean he's alive? Something is amiss... The perfect facade of the boss Chaewool knew remains intact, but who is this cold, serpentine beast lurking within?" Really loved the story, good plot, happy ending. There's ongoing side stories and an epilogue but none have been translated as of yet. The R19 officials here are from Manta and censored, Lezhin uncensored is still on going. Sometimes the panels are missed, so just read on Bato. This seems like either the author's first webtoon or a newbie producer. Naive, tired tropes, plus frequent weird anatomy that doesn't just feel stylized. The pace feels way too rapid, they just don't have the chapters to do anything with this story line and it shows. Hasn't been a enjoyable read so far. Official on Lezhin, officials are here. I'm honestly not sure why this is rated so high. I guess it's light and innocent, but the characters don't have much substance to them and the couple is kinda boring. Initially was going to drop after chapter 9, but I skipped around a bit and read some comments and actually got invested. It deals with a surprising amount of depth that real people have-- emotional issues, mental health conditions, complicated situations and sometimes just bad people. According to some comments, the novel has a good ending and the characters change, but as of the end of season 2 (skipped to check) there's been no romantic development (other than the bottom confessing and the top just constantly bringing that up) and the sexual encounters they have toward the end season 2 are pretty non-con. Shonen ai, not yaoi Was hugely not a fan of the art style at first but I got used to it. Very strange style to see for an eastern webcomic. It's called a monster lord in the comic, but it means a demon lord. Licensed on lots of places including Inkr, "My Covenant with the Monster Lord." Free on Inkr with membership, but a lot is lost in their translation compared to the fan translation here. It's interesting to have read most of this one first and compare my notes I have on this one to help my understanding of the other and see the differences between the terms they've translated (or chosen not to translate and keep as names). As it stands, this is not BL, it's a bromance at BEST. Zero, I mean zero, romance; only a couple moments of accidental homoerotism from misunderstandings. At the end of chapter 100 it says ends of season 1 (with 101-103 being extremely brief side story chapters), so maybe it was canceled because every place I look it says complete. It's a shame, it's a really good story but I came for the romance so I'm just disappointed. Official on MangaToon, "The Prince's Hungry." Officials after chapter 10(?).
