Maya is in love with Kengo, but Kengo is having none of it! The older cafe owner saved university student Maya from some shady dudes and it was love at first sight for Maya, but Kengo's not looking to settle down and Maya's love seems troublesome. But after they sleep together with a strict one night stand understanding, Kengo starts to wonder if he made the right choice. Some of the dialogue was just slightly off enough that I had no idea what they meant. Still, I liked the realistic seeming struggles they both went through, and it's fun to see a big, tough bottom. No trigger warnings.

Rintaro touches a fortuneteller's mirror and is transported to another kingdom where he not only learns that he's an omega, but also the mate of the future king, Varuna! But it's a lot to take in all at once, and Rintaro isn't sure he believes in this destiny. I haven't read too many fantasy/Isekai yaoi, so there's that, and it's interesting that it continues beyond the initial relationship, though the story didn't feel very planned out. Trigger warnings: dubcon, attempted rape, human trafficking.

Minami just wants to design a new store for his family furniture business, but the designer they need happens to be Suzaka, a total scumbag he knew and got tortured by in high school. Suzaka agrees to do the project if he can hold Minami because he wants to see him hurt, but Minami is sure he can go through with it without letting Suzaka hurt him. The only problem is he’s been in love with Suzaka since high school and that hasn’t changed as much as he hoped. Trigger warnings: Noncon, dubcon, coercion, cheating (implied).

Ch.1 - Midori no Ude - the story of a boy saved by a kappa who loves him. Ch.2 - He Knows His Secret - a gay boy takes a picture of his kitsune(?) classmate and threatens him with it. Ch.3 - Rendezvous - a boy injured while diving is helped by a mermaid. My favorite of these and also the most tragic. Ch.4 - Okizare No Hanayome - an experiment gone wrong rapes the scientist left behind to kill him. Ch.5 - Okitemo Mezametemo - the story of a Chinese dream eating creature and the boy who found him. My second favorite on the list, cute. Ch.6 - Kowaku - man with fear of bugs sleeps with a bee yokai. The bug sex is really gross. Will not read again.

Satori is a barista with a crush on his regular customer Hosho who seems to have a different girl every day. But when he finally gets a chance to be closer to Hosho, Satori learns that Hosho eats people's feelings through kissing and that the one he kissed will forget everything about him. Hosho doesn't mind because he doesn't trust love anyway, but Satori absolutely doesn't want to forget his love. No trigger warnings.

Hakuomi, nickname Shiro, is an exorcist and Tsubaki is a half-incubus, but they’re in love! But with Shiro’s family, Tsubaki’s incubus guardian, and even Shiro’s guilt all threatening to pull them apart, will their pure love for each other be enough? I really like the character of the incubus uncle, his struggles and emotions felt real to me. Trigger warnings: noncon, attempted rape, abuse, violence.

Kajima (author, 30) and Hiro (student, 20) are sex friends and they’re both happy that way. That is, until Hiro catches Kajima holding a book by his favorite author and Kajima misses the chance to tell him that it’s really him. They bond over Kajima’s writing, but just as their relationship starts to grow, Hiro’s stalker comes back into the picture, forcing them to live together before they define the relationship. Good story, cute uke, and some well-developed side characters, but the fact they went easy on the abusive stalker because he has a daughter burns me up! Anyway, still very good. Trigger warnings: stalking, mentions of violence.

Spoiler alert: Hibari does cry. Hibari and Sumi have been living together since the death of Hibari’s brother which resulted in Sumi taking over as Hibari’s guardian. But Hibari’s feelings are obvious to Sumi, and even though he worries that accepting them would be selfish, he’s not sure if he can help it. Trigger warnings: motorcycle accident.

Tsuho is a gay congressman pining after his childhood friend and secretary until one day he goes to an S&M club and meets Kyo, a paid Dom who loves dancing and they really hit it off. But just when they’re ready to take it to the next level, scandal rocks Tsuho’s life and their relationship. It’s a good story with some, though not a ton, of S&M, but I felt like the two unrequited loves they were getting over needed more time for the audience to care about them. Trigger warnings: S&M, forced outing.

Nagatora is a host for the money, but the women stress him out! So when his longtime hairdresser, Reina, offers to help him destress with drinks, he goes all out lets himself get taken in by Reina’s maneater side. But even though Reina’s not the type for commitment and Nagatora isn’t gay, they both find that they keep coming back. So what is this, exactly? Some fun character development for both and really pretty art, so it makes for a good read. Trigger warning: drunk sex.
