But when Shishikura's family pushes him to meet with another alpha for an arranged marriage, he starts to realize his feelings for Kotani, all while thinking it's impossible for them to actually be together. The second volume deals mostly with Kotani's issues with his family. I like this couple a lot because they're both well-developed, they have realistic and interesting interactions, and they're just fun together, so it's a good read. But Shiba is the one man who always rebuffs his advances, which makes Tsukasa all the more determined. But when fate brings Shiba to Tsukasa's house one night Tsukasa thinks he finally has his shot, only to find out Shiba's someone he shouldn't have messed with. Fairly predictable, mostly here for the smut. Trigger warning: dubcon.

Toma is an idol in one of the fastest rising new groups, but he's also a huge stan of the industry veteran, Akito, so when he sees Akito not acting like himself to avoid another scandal after punching someone, Toma decides to step in and teach Akito how to be the arrogant but cool idol that all his fans fell in love with. But Akito assumes that love extends to lust and just immediately sleeps with Toma, so they also become friends with benefits while Toma is helping him. Interesting characters, I like it so far. Daichi is worried about it, but after they end up at a mixer together, they drink and end up sleeping together. But the next morning, Nao has the perfect proposition. Since Daichi is trying to decide what to do after he graduates anyway, why not a no strings attached relationship for one month, until he leaves after graduation? It sounds good, but will Daichi really be read to let go? And why did Nao want this setup, to begin with? Fun enough, but the character motivations felt a little weak. Trigger warning: drunk sex.

Calen has no memories of his life. He just woke up in the afterlife and was told to atone for his sins by working as a grim reaper, protecting the dead souls from monsters that will eat them, alongside his partner Makoto, a golem made of dirt. As Calen gets used to this new world, he learns more about Makoto and the two fall in love. But Makoto's golem body may have hit its limit, and Calen will have to break the rules if he wants Makoto to have a chance at survival. Very sweet and well done. Trigger warning: war.

Archar is a low level adventurer who finds the level 99 beastman Dirk starving one day and gives him some food. After that, Dirk becomes very attached to Archar and the two start doing quests together, but Dirk wants even more and tells Archar he's in heat, causing their relationship to become physical. Almost entirely smut, but the characters are cute. Trigger warnings: lying/manipulation, tentacle rape.

When high schooler Tomoya gets a confession from his male classmate, Hinata, he couldn't be less interested. But after avoiding Hinata for a bit, he finds out Hinata didn't actually want to date, he just wanted to be friends! Unbeknownst to Tomoya, Hinata is actually an idol who hasn't had much exposure to normal friendships, but he's desperate to have a best friend like his other two group members, his brother and the brother's best friend, do. Only Hinata doesn't realize that those two are totally dating, and judging by how things are going with him and Tomoya, they will be soon, too. Trigger warning: noncon.
