The Demon Lord wants to take Responsibility of Me!
15 - 3.5 - a bit life the father of the demonic clan (or something) Recall of the soul/person gives reason recall a to past tragedy, and get around it. For now the introduction is still very full of mystery, we know little and it’s slow It’s pretty cute and fluff when it comes to the demon
The Evil Lady's Hero
87 - i like the girl, she’s straight forward and not too doomed with her past knowledge The ultra jealous ML is well kept in check so far (thankfully, he seem to become more and more mentally healthy : no yandere) there’s no plot, but it’s entertaining, albeit a bit long, it’s good there’s a little bit of action with good pace, and changing elements
Crimson Karma Webtoon
42 - 4.5 - good characters, probably good plot It’s not the finest litterature but do far it’s pretty much flawless easy to read, entertaining and despite a dark background, the mc is not drawn into bad though I honestly wou have liked that part to be less heavy, but it’s not a burden I’d also believe the absence of romance so far to be refreshing, it leaves much room for story telling and more realistic relationship (cross fingers)
The Goddess of Healing
43 - 4.5 - once every blue moon on of the typical Chinese rebirth story turn out fine, and this one happens to be of a very rare good kind The mc is just good, not obsessed with her past life, smart but not op, and she has good priorities : revenge come second and she’s not plotting for it Bad events turned her into a smart and cautious woman, not a quasi evil psychopath The ml is also very good so far So it’s a good grade but with caution, it could still turn long or stupid anytime, so far the characters are good, neither too stupid or op, but there’s basically very little plot and that is as typical as can be (evjil step mum/daughter pair with vicious ambitions and actions) - that could easily turn boring or bad But so far i enjoyed
The Duchess of the Attic
9.3 - 4.5 - how interesting, the MC is smart and witty, she just manages to still be herself despite the pressure of a bad wedding with a disrespectful household - okay, no one is truly evil and truly confronting her But i enjoyed reading about a woman defining her priorities straight and using her full potential to do what she can best She doesn’t cry or turn wicked, she seek for help in smart way, wait for no one to save her, and moves forward I get that her husband piss off a lot of readers, but i guess he’s mostly very immature and badly prejudiced so far, because he’s done no true evil, i don’t like him, but i understand how she doesn’t care about how he thinks, as she would lose her time and energy That’s true smart too She’s great because she just doesn’t care about her husband - at all ! She grew up from the dream of realizing herself by being a happy ‘home maker » - she also defines a woman who doesn’t need a man to grow as a person, and is not dependent on a « loving husband » to accomplish herself She’s not a doormats and she’s not used : she’s free from conventions Luckily the idiotic husband has no power to stop her growth ! She set her sight higher and does what needs to be done for the people She gives herself the right to manage the territory which is a male privilege She has no care to hurt his reputation because it would hurt the people, but also because she doesn’t even consider him worth her feelings He’s childish, she realize he still hasn’t grown from his parents death and doesn’t behave like a mature adult : why would she waste her time babying that unlikable man ? https://ncode.syosetu.com/n9587ek/
Nymph Project
55 - The beginning is good and so far it’s entertaining Same here : http://www.mangago.me/read-manga/birth_of_a_goddess/
Birth of a Goddess
55 - The beginning is good and so far it’s entertaining, it’s pretty original with lots of smart, no revenge and a bit of fun - Alas all is lost when she goes back, as often, grown ups are tedious, the romance is not very good, both protagonist being slow, the villain is a caricature, he is given some very interesting thoughts : he wants to control mankind to stop wars But the answer to that is OP white washing with no depth : why giving any depeth and past to the villain if it’s just to blast him without a second thought ? Making an internet addict out of the MC is kind of lame, that also gives her a lot of out of her timeline though process and culture wich break the story flow quite often I enjoyed re re-reading the beginning very much so it feels like a badly told story after a while and it’s disappointing 208 - sadly, the second arc suffers many flaws from the start It’s hard to go after and be different - but there’s not enough character development before the spirit appears, that should have helped easing inside a totally new world The girl this time is protrzyed as dumb by the spirit (and the author) and we hardly understand her 7 /10 characteritic in intelligence ? She’s seriously not so bright and that fall into a stereotype too :she’s a muscle brain In the beginning, you can put it on the « love brain » stupid, but no, she’s just witty and stupid most of the time - it’s heavy There’s a bit of a,mulan story and a debate about a society which teach woman what they can’t do (men do better, ther are brzve while female are not strong and decisive), and what they shod do or be (know to sew, cook, do make up, be,pretty, be a « good wife ») So far,ok Then when she’s exposed as a female wich could cost her life, a lot of soldier come out as female too : the army is the only way to survive (they provide food) But the MC will find her strength in her childhood talk to her dzd (think 5years old?) : « screw the rules, i will do what i want because i’m,me » How glorious ? Whild half of the audience put their life at risk when they disobeyed to protect her you have to endure the painful « i my me » tamk pf the century : hero sadly does really rythme with ego ? By the way, the way of becoming an independent woman fre from patriarchal values is also a caricature : she suddenly becomes a child who loved to fight, and despite being raised by peasants she wanted to be a warrior, now she’s going to be the goddess of war ? Yay : masculine and macho warrior ? BTW, Without godly powers how can a woman physical prowess be compared to a man ? While there’s moraly no distinction, obviously physically we are different, it’s real, 15 body weight difference and different hormones are not nothing The all war thing is pretty ridiculous : war is ugly, bloody and lethal, but the characters are touring the world without care, you are shown it’s bad, but there’s no feelings of dread for the consequences, it’s all to light : because it’s like a game for the fery stupid MC It’s a bit bad as there seems to be bitof plot in that one, albeit not much It’s strange how it feels like the author wants to stand for some ideas (girl powers), but actually manages to make a plea for the traditional values they abhor (Female community vs selfish ego, the recurring definition of « feminine « (flowe, jewelry make up dress, etc),the emancipated macho woman sight - what a waste Same here : http://www.mangago.me/read-manga/nymph_project/
White Blood
20 - 4.5 - so far excellent characters, good plot and good storytelling It’s very violent for my own taste and i don’t know if they can keep up the story without becoming repetitive and boring (so much has been written about vampires) But as of 20 chapters, it’ excellent The mc is very interesting - she’s physically strong, but i had a hard time adding « strong female lead », she’s strong all right, but she’s mostly humane and her questions & doubts defines her more than her power She’s very 3d in very few pages -
The Princess' Spaceship
85 - i was seriously put of by the title, i really never had a thing for space op, but it’s really not too present, and the story is nice Sadly the ending is rather weak I like the mc, she’s determined and smart, self reliant too She uses everything she can to make her path I love her interactions with the prince too It’s rather slow burned too with lots of chapters about nothing, so basically the idea is great, but the réalisation could have benefited from deeper work in matters of story telling The art is hard on the eyes
